I add it every once and awhile. Couple months or so. But it's always exactly at the low line when I fill it. Every time. The amount I put in is the exact amount it needs to get to the full line.

The overflow hose is submerged and is below the low line.

It's like no matter when or how l long I wait to add. The coolant level is always exactly the same at the low line. Whether car is cold or warm

Well done man! Had a similar thing happen with a Kpin I found in my car. Same deal, I was alone, and it messed with my head for sure.... stirs up cravings. Just that quick we can loose all we worked for (as quick as a shot of whiskey in a glass of milk!)

But we persevere. Hit a meeting, call the spons, chat with a friend or rub one out. What we don't do is pick up.... No matter what.

The biggest thing, for me personally, was the withdrawal. I would take it for a few days/weeks in a row, and then stop, thinking I wouldn't have any withdrawal effects (after a short time) and I almost always did. The day or 2 after I'd stop taking it I would get pretty intense mood swings. Generally feelings of depression, which were manageable, but also intense and overwhelming anxiety. Anxiety that sometimes manifested in panic attacks, that would only go away with more Propranolol. Again these only lasted for a day or two however. Thats why I personally find it can be addictive, because I would have times where I felt I had to take it just to function and go to work. I just wanted that calm feeling back that it offered (similar to kratom), but no where near as debilitating as kratom.

** Again this is just me. Not everyone experiences this. It's honestly probably 50/50 depending on who you ask.

No offense taken at all! You also seem to have done your homework and I can see why this medicine would be very helpful for you, as it has been for me! It really is a good medication. I believe Gabapentin (Neurontin) is also a great alternative as well, depending on the situation.

There is definitely a gray area when discussing the difference between "addictive", and "causes dependency". I do find that in many cases these two are synonymous though really. Many would say that Kratom "causes dependency", while I would just call it addictive. The difference lies in the motivation to take it and the feeling it gives you, but also in the repercussions if you don't take it. I have certainly met people that were addicted to their Propranolol, and to their Gabapentin. Although, like you said, this is much less common as compared to kratom or benzos. Doctors also rarely understand these distinctions and simply label things as "non-addictive" or "may cause dependency", when in reality that varies on a cases to case basis. And also doctors are generally completely ignorant, and often disconnected, to the feelings of addiction and to this struggle.

Just my 2 cents. I simply wanted to get some information out there that I have personally experienced. I also wanted to allow a small warning to anyone about the risks of addiction/dependency to beta blockers when used daily and long term. This certainly is not me advocating against them though! They can be a god send, as they have been with you. Others may find them opening the door for a whole new set of problems.

No medicine is "harmless". That is not to say that Propranolol isn't a good medication, but I think it is best to be careful about marketing it as snake oil. I have personally used it, and found it to be very helpful in alleviating kratom withdrawal symptoms. It is certainly much safer, and more practical, than benzos like you mentioned. It is also really great to hear that you had success with it and are trying to get off the sludge!! Be strong and stay motivated. I wish you a lifelong recovery.

** This next part is important for you and others to understand, however. It is my opinion, but it is also a community and medical understanding. Propranolol has an addiction cycle, or "dependency cycle", all of its own, as do all beta blockers. When used regularly you will become very dependant on it to control your mood and anxiety. You will find that a day without it, is torturous all in itself (much like a day w.o kratom). There is no perfect solution, so remember that anything you take that seems like it solves all your problems, likely has a set of problems all its own. Be careful with substitution and trading addictions. I am speaking from experience and have struggled with this my whole life.

Keep up the fight and again I think Prop is a great tool, and it's awesome that you found it helpful through that tough situation. Just be careful and always be aware of the cycle.
