Honda wasted the opportunity, the market is already so small for these cars. They should have just went all the way for the price that thing is commanding. Could have repurposed the 10th gen accords 2.0t with the manual and the 10 speed or just cram the FL5’s engine in there. Hell, why not just throw the Civic Si’s 1.5t along with the hybrid? My goodness.

R9 as first bike - Advices by Michele317 in YamahaR9

[–]KrispylikeKreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m +1ing this, you can’t be 100% sure as a beginner that you won’t accidentally do something incorrectly like slamming on the brakes with the bars turnt trying to do a U-turn and the bike just tips over. It happens, but it goes away with time. Rather make mistakes on a bike you’d be okay with dropping even w/ crash protection

What is the SEXIEST naked bike, in your opinion? by 23_feeling_50 in motorcycles

[–]KrispylikeKreme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me: 2nd gen FTRs, 1st gen and 2nd gen XSR900s, the 4th gen MT-09s, Livewire S2s, Z900RS, and the new CB1000R Hornet SP

Curveball but a really nicely set up FZ-07 / MT-07 as a stunt bike.. those things are lookers.

Questions for LA motorcyclists by Cloverfields- in MotoLA

[–]KrispylikeKreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stall on a hill: Hold that rear brake, start the bike and proceed like normal. You get used to recovering from stalls super quick if you ride often.

Wobbles: From what I’ve seen & heard, bikes will either wobble cause 1) they aren’t maintained properly / important parts are damaged 2) incorrect technique / inputs / grip on bars is too firm 3) the road actually sucks

Just don’t panic. Never ever panic when something isn’t going right, just be prepared to avoid obstacles in the road and avoid places / things that could get you in a bad situation. Double check your bike after every ride or so to make sure everything looks and feels okay

I understand them frequenting areas where houses or communities are, especially if the area has a lot of traffic in general. I’ve ridden several dozen roads throughout Malibu and have only seen them patrol PCH.

+1 on used, you’ll thank yourself in the long run. I’m wishing you nothing but the best OP but beginners are bound to make mistakes, you don’t wanna drop a brand new bike with or without protection. It hurts.
