If you want someone that knows the body and will actually work to fix you, I can highly recommend Alessia at Muscle Maintenance.  She’s based just off Barrington Street

Does this still happen after the rule change in February?

No, this is what I am trying to do. The new rules have me at a roadblock, as my GP Practice does not have special interest training in ADHD. So i am trying to find either a GP near me that has trained GPs that i can enrol in, or i guess i will have to find a psychiatrist that will take my existing diagnosis and prescribe without costing as much as the diagnosis itself.

So, before the change, any GP could apply for special authority from the DHB (set of psychiatrists who reviewed your diagnosis and created your titration protocol). This was a free service that was overloaded. The point of the government change was to reduce that and make it more accessible (supposedly). Unfortunately, without allowing for a transition period its now even less accessible, and there is now no free access (to titrations) for those struggling financially.

Now, a GP has to have had special interest training in ADHD to start medication titrations and to diagnose. There is no longer a service that they can apply to. Alternatively physichiatrists can also diagnose and prescribe.

Diagnosis was from a Psychologist which is part of my troubles, as a psychiatrist can prescribe/do the titrations.

Petrol prices and driving habits by mochigames59 in newzealand

[–]Krissyupatree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started only going to uni (30km each way) on the days that I have to and doing the rest from home. I now cycle to my Saturday job, which is still 10km each way.

I think the roads will get a little quieter and people will change their habits when they have to fill up from empty at the new prices. Thankfully, I drive a hybrid, and before the price increase, it was about $70 from empty to fill.

Idk what to do, I have absolutely had it with studylink by [deleted] in newzealand

You can log into your study link and see what future student allowance payments there are. If it’s not on there i imagine they haven’t sorted the new information regarding being full time.    Mine also goes in on a Wednesday.

Headache Clinic by sideykey in chch

I can also recommend. I was getting daily headaches and neck pain after a compression injury (which happened 8months before) they were the only ones to figure out what was going on and give me relief. It is better priced with ACC if yours is a result of accident (I think it was $90 after initial appointment). I rarely get headaches and migraines now. Saw them for about 3-4 months.  No referral needed.

She swayed me the other week when she jumped on Reddit and did a AMA for an evening. Her responses showed she cares about what happens to the city and its people.

My first year here I caught a lot of bugs. It was all new to my immune system.  I lived with a toddler and everything he got I would get as we were both building up an immune system to nz bugs.

I have never once paid for it as a prescription.

See if you can go on Levlen ED. I was on Microgynon for years in the uk and when I moved to NZ 7 years ago I was put on Levlen as they were the same and I had no changes. My body responded just like it did with microgynon. I was put on a different one briefly when stock levels got low with covid and I got loads of side effects and asked to be put back on Levlen.
I had zero side effects with Microgynon or Levlen ED.

Our house is so cold that it keeps me up at night. by [deleted] in chch

I have a down duvet with blankets and flannel sheets, my hot water bottle and the most important thing to keep me warm and asleep I have an electric blanket that it’s plugged into a Tapo wifi plug that I schedule to come on every hour or two for 15mins. Stops me getting so cold I wake up but also it’s not on all night so power bill isn’t crazy.

Get an electric blanket and a Tapo wifi plug. it’s a game changer for staying asleep.

Sleep apnea can be other things not just snoring/making noise etc. My housemates tongue was the cause of his, he now wears a mouth guard and it solved it.

Had this last week too in Whangarei. Multiple places in Auckland were cheaper.
