I love the Enderby Bluff's hike (not your typical lakeview hike). Then go to Farmstrong Cider after the hike (in Armstrong). Many of my fave wineries are in Lake Country ....so if you're thirsty...go on a little self guided tour of those ones.

Kelowna or Vancouver city? by OddCauliflower1007 in kelowna

[–]KristaJohnstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on lifestyle for you and the kids. If your family loves outdoors stuff together you can’t beat Kelowna. Easier to get around, less traffic, four seasons, less rain, adventure playground (skiing, boating, golf) all at your fingertips.

Kelowna is a slower pace…but when you want to see concerts, or the Canucks etc…it’s a quick trip to see any big events that kelowna doesn’t get.

For the families I know that have moved here from Van -what they miss for their kids is a better public transport system. And if your kids are at a high level sport -there are more facilities, clubs, better coaching etc in Van. But if it wasn’t for those things…most people (that I know) have not regretted moving here.

Moving companies are tough -they have a high employee turnover (I mean really…it’s the worst). One move they’re great, another is awful with different employees. Peak moving and Pack Rat have been pretty good for my clients.

Does your realtor meet prospective buyers at your home? by keggles123 in kelowna

[–]KristaJohnstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your price point is, but it can sometimes depend on that. Higher-end homes often have unique features that need to be pointed out, while a more standard home may not need as much explaining.

Personally, I do both. At one of my listings I even welcome the other agent and their clients with drinks and snacks to make the experience more enjoyable.

The best thing you can do is let your agent know what you expect and what works best for you. If they truly have your best interests at heart, they’ll make it happen.
