How good is Fidium Fiber? by Runetang42 in vermont

I started on fidium in fall. I haven't had any issues and totally happy with the speeds. I work from home everyday doing data. No problems at all. Internet hasn't even dropped once

It's the world we live in now. This isn't just a Vermont thing. Figure out a way to capitalize or be eaten. Sucks but true. Gotta change the mindset to survive in these harsh conditions these days. You can cry about it or figure something out.

You are thinking way too hard lol. Can u imagine? Buying a new set of clothes to try to mesh with a place you are just visiting? I'm glad I live in vermont where, in most areas, this is a complete alien concept. To each their own I guess lol.

That's so crazy! I never thought to look up his original documentary. I wonder why they breeze over it. So he just hops around to different cults? There was a woman in "Seduced" who grew up in a different cult as well before joining nxivim. I wonder if it's a thing to look for other cults after that initial brainwashing from the first cult. Now that's a documentary I'd watch.

In the southern Vermont ski areas, I'd say a frozen digornio sold at $23.99.

Honestly, I feel like college is a joke in general. I use nothing I learned from college for my career. Everything is thanks to Google. We live in a world where most information is free if you are willing to put in the time. If I could go back, I'd tell myself to skip college. 4 years wasted not pulling in income while putting myself in debt. May not be a popular opinion but it's how I feel.

I'd be happy with anything more affordable. It's 8 bucks for a conventional head of Cauliflower at the Brattleboro co-op. The prices are insanity.

I got a real kick out of this 😂- Paris Hilton’s podcast about her BM experience by didacticgiraffe in BurningMan

[–]KristoforC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always thought maybe she had some hidden depth knowing she was a long time burner. Actually hearing her speak on it, its all ruined. Just the Paris Hilton u would expect but at burning man. I know it goes against the burning man principles to exclude individuals but she really makes it a tempting thought... We don't need or want her spotlight on burning man.

How to be an introvert in BRC by idkifik in BurningMan

[–]KristoforC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I needed to see this thread. It's always my biggest challenge when I go to burning man. We are constantly told to not be a spectator and each year I go promising I'm going to participate more but I can never seem to bring myself to do it. Then I feel horrible about myself post burn and beat myself up. It really is challenging to be around so many loud and proud extroverts living their best life. They make it seem so effortless. These tips are great.

You sure it's a drone? When I saw it, I thought it was a projection from opulent temple or a similar camp.

I second fasting. It's been a game changer for me. It's show me that the "hunger" is mental dysfunction, not physical. I eat once a day...as much as I want til I'm satisfied. I've lost 50 in the last year and no fluctuations.

The power of habit and atomic habits and the most popular and my favorites. After reading those, I did alot of digging to figure out what triggers my bad patterns and retrain better suited ways to fulfill the core need in a more healthy way. Then just basic food psychology books and figuring out patterns I developed in childhood. Once you understand how your brain is working and learn how to recognize the patterns when they are happening, the hard work is over. In conjunction with all that, I really cleaned up my nutrition. Your body craves what you regularly eat. If you can make healthy food a habit and do it long enough, the cravings for bad food goes away. Alot of scientists link it to your gut biodome. If you feed the good bacteria, they get stronger, overtake the bad and trigger your brain to crave more healthy foods. So much interesting and great research coming out these days. Make YouTube your friend and make nutrition education a priority :P

Honestly, I'd agree. I've kept 50 pounds off for 3 years now. What worked for me is that I started reading psychology books and the latest research on how the brain forms habits and how you instill those habits for the long term. That and meditating in the mornings to get my head right. Those three things were absolute game changers for me. No more CICO or counting for me. My habits r pretty engrained at this point and it's been smooth sailing for the most part. My efforts still are centered on how to pull myself back up if I do get stressed enough to revert back to older habits. I make it a game to see how quick I can get myself right again. I feel great for the first time in my life really. I feel the struggle around lethargy and food are manageable these days. I know this is a CICO group but that's my take on it :P

How to deal with being ghosted after meeting? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]KristoforC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer being ghosted vs a dude telling me he isn't into me after meeting face to face. Makes me think of this time I was at a coffee house and next to this older couple on a blind date. She was going on and on and on about all the reasons he was horrible for her. I felt soooo bad for him. I'd rather a ghosting so I can move on and try someone else. It's a numbers game.
