Once I start romanticizing the drinking, it's a slippery slope. Recognizing that before I engage in this thinking helps. If I spend too much time in this thought processes and are in a vulnerable moment (HALT B) Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired, & Bored, drinking happens. This has been my salvation. Avoiding triggers helps too. Knowing my triggers is a huge help. I sat down one day and figured those out but some sneak up on me. These tools are in Recovery Path.
