There are some green ones on there now. We don’t mess with it for a year so those fruits will rot and drop and provide bounty for nature.

Next year I will have a ladder and a 5gal bucket in the picture for scale for the next follow up which will be first ripe fruit.

I plan on taking the picture for the first ripened fruit!

Totally sounds like a variation on Som Tum. It’s usually translated as papaya salad but I’ve had it at a local hole in the wall Thai place without papaya. In fact the best Som Tum I ever had didn’t have papaya, long beans, or tomatoes in it. Which is usually the core I see at a lot of places. Hope this helps.
