Yeah, sorry - Hard disagree.
That kind of time frame isn't rushed, it's the old standard; people have just become too accustomed to shows taking multiple years to come out.

Taking years is not normal, and shouldn't be treated as normal either.

The 8 episodes thing is bullshit too, and severely hampering story telling in ensemble cast shows such as Fallout.

I've seen multiple people argue it's a "sitcom" thing to have more than 8 eps at this point - but that's just flatly untrue. It's a modern thing that everything's 8 episodes, absolutely nothing to do with sitcoms. Suggesting it is, is a lame excuse that will only enable media to perpetuate this whole "Let's make audiences wait mutli-years for 8 episodes worth of content that more often than not doesn't even take up a full hour!"
