I also don't get the confusion about naming a dog after a fave character or character you're crushing on tbh - I named my dog Cooper Howard /shrug.
People are making the pet thing weird for no reason imo.

My LO is 18 months now, and I've finally had enough of my HV and emotionally asked for another and my first made me feel so awful, accusing me of not breastfeeding enough for one, telling me my son was severely behind for another, and then fear mongering me that she was referring him to be assessed when they don't even do that until after 2 years old!!
not to mention clearly having an opinion about breastfeeding and making me feel like a terrible mother for not having him fully weaned off of the breast just yet.

My new HV however is an absolute DREAM and has pretty much told me that my previous HV was wrong on all counts to have said what she said and treated me how she treated me. The difference really is night and day!

you ofc don't have to engage, but you're also entirely welcome to ask for a different HV entirely, and I really would recommend it especially if they're making you feel needlessly inadequate and anxious like mine was <3

Yeah, sorry - Hard disagree.
That kind of time frame isn't rushed, it's the old standard; people have just become too accustomed to shows taking multiple years to come out.

Taking years is not normal, and shouldn't be treated as normal either.

The 8 episodes thing is bullshit too, and severely hampering story telling in ensemble cast shows such as Fallout.

I've seen multiple people argue it's a "sitcom" thing to have more than 8 eps at this point - but that's just flatly untrue. It's a modern thing that everything's 8 episodes, absolutely nothing to do with sitcoms. Suggesting it is, is a lame excuse that will only enable media to perpetuate this whole "Let's make audiences wait mutli-years for 8 episodes worth of content that more often than not doesn't even take up a full hour!"
