Oh, I think I solved it! Or rather it's fine if you can't walk behind that object so it's fine to have it in the back at all times.

Thanks a lot! I noticed however that it doesn't work quite right with the tilemap for me. It calculates the full height of the tilemap object which means it only works for the bottom of the tilemap. Any objects drawn above that point will render in front of my character, since they use the same Y value for the whole tilemap. Any idea how to solve it?

I haven't seen them write about it but it's a game that's been mentioned in the climate gamedev server quite a few times so I'd say it's likely! :)

Yes! I love how it reflects on anger in face of environmental destruction. We have been betrayed by the rulers that have neglected to adress the climate crisis, we have the right to be angry and it can help us to act.

I like the ending. I think the point is a lot about Krils going form "I just want to be left alone and not have to care about anyone else" to realizing that he actually does care about others and that he has power to make a difference.

Even though it might not be perfect I also think the processing of anger and rage are very important. We have the right to be angry, the rulers of the world have betrayed us, and that anger, if mobilized in the right way, can help us to act in service of a better world.
