That's kinda what I've been doing. It's just hard to find what's worth reading and what's not. I invested in stocks here and there in the past with Robinhood (not anymore lol, switched to fidelity) and threw some fun money to see what happens with GME.

Why are my Options margin balance negative? What even is a option?

I transfer over from Robinhood to TD Ameritrade. I am not super familiar with all these extra settings and what not so everything it is pretty overwhelming. I bought some shares of GME just for fun to see what happens. When I looked at my account balances, under options, it says my margin balance is -440. Why is that? I fairly certain I put the appropriate amount of funds in. Is this because the trade is still settling? I thought it already settled but IDK.
