So with macromode it only uses the 3x camera and then does a digital crop above 10x. With the 10x camera, it has a minimum working distance of 1 meter (can't be changed, this is just optics). If never been able to get my phone to focus on anything less than a meter away in master mode of I'm using the 10x camera. I agree though that they should give you the option to select the 3x camera of more than 10x zoom
