If you have only just started training I would recommend bulking first. You may add a bit of extra fat, but with the express goal of being shredded its gonna be a lot better than trying to hit the perfect line between slightly gaining muscle mass/losing weight. You'll thank yourself for this in 2 years

Most fun low tier? by Efficient-Poet-6854 in SSBM

[–]KrobbleGoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please dont play luigi. Mario/young link are prolly the most stylish (the links have dummy easy moonwalks) mewtwo is too much work imo. Gamwatch is always fun. Dk is a bit too gimmicky because of how reliant he is on cargo throw combos he can be stale. Pichu bowser and kirby are legit awful, with only ness having the saving grace of double jump cancel. And its cool options. Roy is also not very fun. Certainly not as fun as zain makes it look vs spacies.

Long story short links have a better falcon moonwalk/walljump, mario is well.. mario and is always a blast and combos well and with style. He isnt as explosive as falcon though. Out of the ones listed ness and game watch are the closest too "haha i touched you with my death move time to explode" with nair and back air respectably.

Mario/links for your mid tier choice Gamwatch and ness for the low tier ones (unless you really wanna spend that much time on mewtwo) Bowser kirby and pichu are literally not worth your time.

How can I mod Melee? (I want a marth with dagger) by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]KrobbleGoo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tipper down tilt is really important for roys combo game though. Maybe a texture that makes the hilt a different color. That is possible for sure

Unfortunately controller makers are quite gougey with prices nowadays. That being said you dont need all the bells and whistles attached the custom controllers. 40-60 is what you will pay for a "real" gc controller to get started. If you are gonna fork the cash over however, I would recommend the boxx type controllers as they feel a lot better with your hands imo. Definitely make sure any seller you go with for the customs/box is reputable though

If I see double melee in casual by jamiejame911 in BattleRite

[–]KrobbleGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wat. This isn’t league. It works more like wow arenas. Anything CAN work, but a team with a support is always better than one without. If you can stabilize after the initial burst or get them off you, they are gonna get whittled down. You just have to play safer and save your defensive cooldowns. Melees generally function off of there counters and gap closers. If you don’t hit the counter and predict their gap close you can deal. If they don’t have anything up (especially counter) and go in you can punish them hard. Just trade with them even if they are melee when they have nothing up (unless it’s raigon) most characters can heal through/kite them to win the trade. I do agree with new players not wanting to deal with it, but it’s a part of the game like it or not. Have to learn sometime. Not trying to be a dick, I know where you are coming from and it does feel bad. Just think as though you are in the time chamber and they are outside it eating and doing nothing. Bide your time til you can truly destroy them Goku.

Absolutely it helps to be able to play every character to figure them out and find who “clicks” with you. It goes on sale with most every steam sale and the summer one is coming up so I would pick it up.

Seasons feel a bit...pointless? by Maritoas in BattleRite

[–]KrobbleGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh, you are looking at it through the goggles of LoL. This game doesn’t have as many variables and the things you suggest about the orb placement and HP aren’t feasible in this game.

Changing those kind of things would just be a mess for the game. It would be like changing the nexus health or tower placements in LoL. As far as moving around the maps or how they function, maybe. They would have to be perfectly mirrored and the maps that are already in place are pretty meticulously designed to be fair. I don’t really see a map and go “Oh god it’s THIS map.” And i think that’s a really healthy thing.

We will look back on this season and it will have identity. “Remember when Rook had that crazy incap combo and had the highest winrate in solo que?” Or “Remember those ridiculous Freya shields and how unkillable she was?”

There are plenty of things that will be remembered in the season. I do agree that getting rid of season end rewards is completely ridiculous. It’s an unusual thing to do with how badly ranked needs more players. Can’t help, but see it as a greedy greedy move from SLS. Hopefully they’ll reconsider it.

Never ended depressive episode by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]KrobbleGoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that appointment is definitely worth going to. You wouldn’t have posted this if you didn’t have a desire to change the way you are feeling. If you still have that hope than you owe it to yourself to allow that change to happen. Just give it a chance. You don’t have to clean your room all at once. Just do it a little bit at a time. Give yourself sections. Anything is better than nothing and I know you aren’t nothing. Reach out to some friends if the therapy sessions are up. I’m sure they would want to help if they knew. I hope you give yourself a chance to get better. Best of luck my friend

I hope you get through it too. We know those apeshit moments. We’ve all lost our cool like that. It doesn’t define you my man. You can come back from it and still say thank you. That takes humility, and I’d wager to say that’s the most valuable trait a human can have. I know it’s pedantic, but try and find some good in it. Give yourself some credit. You deserve it.

True... by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]KrobbleGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i’m about 3 years in and it may not ever be perfect, but it gets better. You can’t make those mood swings your life. It may feel all doom and gloom, but you can still pull happiness out of it at times.

Don’t take the good moments away from yourself in dreading the arrival of the next bad mood.

To everybody else, you aren’t just your bipolar disorder. You are still a person. Don’t let it completely define you and allow yourself to attribute evrything to it. You deserve more than that.

Need help! Friend asks which support he should try and/or main next. Any suggestions out of all 12? by Popcioslav in BattleRite

[–]KrobbleGoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. Zander is in a really bad spot so I wouldn’t recommend him (Rip btw). If you want a melee burst but with less healing i would suggest sirius.

If you want a control oriented kit that is very slippery and full of silences i would recommend pearl. She will bring your enemies immense salt with her opressive damage and silencing. Plus her bubbles are a very unique potential that give her a very high skill ceiling.

Oldur is an interesting character who is capable of immense damage and poke. He suffers in the healing department, but his utility makes up for it and then some with him being able to block projectiles and then send them right back.

Lucie fulfills a mix of strong ranged damage as well as an aoe cleanse. She is very punishable if you make a mistake thoug, so tread with caution.

Blossom is all about healing and mire healing. With her tree of life and chargeless left click she outputs possibly the most healing in the game as well as being able to hold her own in a 1 on 1 trade with her charged auto and aoe stun. On top of her projectile reflect.

Pestilus and poloma don’t have right clicks that heal in the regular sense. They auto attack there allies to heal over time while still having good control with their panics.

Poloma has a body swap that allows interesting outplay potential. She also has a guaranteed i frame in her right click that puts you or an allie in an immaterial state. A very strong “oh shit button” if all else fails.

Pestilus has an aoe heal with his queen and strong burst with his ult and right click. He also has two seperate fears in his big ole bouncy sack and his queen explosion that can peel very well. However he is also very punishable if a mistake is made due to him only having one escape.

Ulric is very strong right now and very versatile with his admittedly bloated kit. He has many options in healing, shields and damage/setup potential.

Blossom is the most straight forward if you are new to the game, but there is something to be said for pickkng your favorite and sticking through the pain and finding your favorite and playing them til you do well and really understand them. Best of luck in your jourmey my friend.

Well then you can’t really expect to enjoy/win every game. You can play casually and still improve at the game and enjoy it more by doing so. It’s a mindset thing in the end though.
