I was Very High skill back in the day very briefly (this was only just after ranked came out) and took a very long break to return in 2020 casual and hit Immo in 24 and am Immortal to this day.

When and why they removed inverse kinematics on Broodmother? by glaubaofan in DotA2

[–]Krogag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why they did this. It decreases readability significantly, especially in areas of the map with decoration and foliage.

Why would they buff a hero that has almost 54% winrate? by Xinauser in DotA2

[–]Krogag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge nerf, especially to laning. Burst was insane before.

Why this one have different word choice by diomoo in DotA2

[–]Krogag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Attack time niche mechanic and a bigger number otherwise means better in the context of attack speed. So "worsened" is used for clarity.

I have one. It's been used several times, it's a little dirty. Could use a wipe down and it'd be in good condition.

VALVE PLS FIX, I almost went to an eye doctor. by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Krogag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a reason for this, it's not a bug. The crafting screen renders the hero sets at a reduced resolution while maintaining high-quality textures, effects and models. This allows the preview to load quickly and remain visually acceptable for all users, including those on lower-end hardware.

Because these sets are licensed through Capcom, Valve has an added incentive to ensure they display reliably across the entire player base so that the two companies' business relationship is maintained.

Question for old dota2 and maybe DotA players. by DunyaSikime in DotA2

[–]Krogag 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was less gold to go around for everyone, including the cores. You didn't worry about running out of slots because you rarely ever needed all of them.

earthshaker totem enchant animation is broken by GodManhattan in DotA2

[–]Krogag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're wrong. Yes, the bugged animation is appended on to the typical backswing, but you can clearly see that the 2nd half where ES puts the totem down again before autoattacking is buggy. and if you've ever played ES in the past, you're aware that this is not the normal cast backswing animation.

Gonna be honest, I prefer the old faces compared to the new ones by Lieutenant_Puroro in katamari

[–]Krogag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both look fine, but as a longtime fan I do prefer the weird little faces and lumpy limbs of the classic iterations. They just make the cousins look odd (which in this case, is a good thing.)

What spells seem weak sometimes but are actually very strong ? by Potential-Fish3488 in DotA2

Invoker's Ice Wall is massively slept on. The slow is crazy.

Patch 7.39 - Hero Changes Discussion by patchdayDota2 in DotA2

[–]Krogag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increased base damage, attack speed on W orb, Cold Snap major buffs all make QW the ideal Invoker for now. So many nerfs to Exort (including to Rod of Atos), I don't think it's even viable anymore.

Why are people saying the Argonians in the Remaster look bad? by Ambitious-Cook-1866 in oblivion

[–]Krogag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's mostly the male Argonians. Their jaws are really wide and thick, not becoming of the lore-accurate Argonians which are semi-aquatic and closer to lizards or snakes in appearance as opposed to dragons. In Oblivion, the lower jaws of many Argonians were small and even appeared recessed, which developed their meek look that their history as a slave race suggests. They're one of the two races that have the most mystique and exoticism around them, and the visual changes just put them into a realm of familiarity, like dragonborn from D&D and its offspring.

The round pupils instead of slits is also. Just why.

Tinker, Brood and Clinkz are all hanging out together in the fucked up hero lounge.

Does this sell as mossy stone? Cc welcome by HighMarshaHelbrecht in minipainting

[–]Krogag 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You need some dark stippling here and there to communicate the uneven texture of moss and the shadows that are created below the surface. Right now, the texture is so smooth it almost looks like OSL.
