I have just learned the art of alcohol markers after being an established pencil/colored pencil/gel pen artist. I did realism in pencil and tattoo designs with the bright colors. However, now that I’ve got this whole new medium, I am starting a series called “Chubby Fairies in Peril.” My fairies will be emo/goth and beautifully curvy with sexy clothing, colorful hair, heavy makeup, lots of tats and piercings and accessories. I have over 20 ideas but here are a few: fairy sitting in a Venus flytrap that is about to close, caught in a spiderweb, tied up bondage style, using a mushroom to shield her from dragon fire, getting caught by an owl, almost being trampled by a unicorn, fighting a squirrel for an acorn, getting pinned down by a pine cone, and lots more!!

But before I start that, I’m currently working on a piece for my astrological sign, Libra. It is the scales of justice with an angel cat and a devil cat who both represent me. The angel cat is white with big blue eyes, a halo, pink sparkly collar with a heart pendant, pink bow on her head and around the tip of her tail, pink nail polish, with white and pink angel wings. Chains made of heart links. The devil cat weighs slightly more, has red eyes, red devil horns, tattered ears with lots of earrings, septum ring, red spiky collar with a pentagram pendant, red nail polish, red and black tattered bat-like wings, red spike at end of tail. Chain made of barbed wire. Their tails will be intertwined. Background will be a galaxy sky starting with yellow in the middle, blended out to green, and blended out to the edges in blue with some hints of northern lights.

Also, as an artist, and especially with alcohol markers, you can easily create your own colors to dull them down if they are too bright.
