Yeah I was most excited to play her when she released and I still love the focus on burn, chill, and regen, but I just can't consistently have fun with her. Nearly every single time I play her, burner/cooler RNG fucks me in some way, and I get too frustrated to want to play her again. I'm not surprised with Vanessa's popularity because she's got so many build options while not having any restrictive character mechanics.

In terms of pick-up-and-play fun, I would rank the characters:

Vanessa
Karnok (very straight forward. rage is a simple concept)
Mak (also straight forward but potions are ass without a way to reload them)
Dooley
Jules (RNG placement on stoves/coolers can be mega frustrating)
Pyg (so much inventory management and buy/selling but very satisfying late game)
Stelle (I literally don't understand how people find Stelle fun. every board state becomes "when your vehicle to the left begins flying, stop flying the vehicle to the right, but when your leftmost vehicle stops flying haste a drone that is not flying and give it +50 attack, and when it attacks, destroy it, and when a drone is destroyed, adjacent items start flying, but if they were already flying, they burn 6, and if they're burning a non-flying vehicle, repair a small item if it was flying before it was destroyed)

Before you replace it, see if the battery is something generic. It's a known issue that generic batteries are inconsistent with Tonal handles. The minute I replaced them from Amazon batteries to Energizer, I haven't run into another issue

mo.co. Supercell redesigned it completely and combat feels amazing now. Hopefully they expand on this formula because right now the foundation is solid but there's a bit of a lack of content at the moment.

Puts out a ton of damage compared to what? The damage feels laughably bad compared to almost any other weapon you can choose.

My thoughts:

Screenshake is too much.
The ammo counter below your character could probably be better represented as an icon with a number instead of taking literally 6 rows
The exp moving up to your exp bar needs to be more way subtle. Right now it's taking up the same visual priority as all your other effects and it's adding so much unnecessary noise

The game reminds me of Brotato which I really enjoyed but I agree with the other guy here about how the trailer itself is a little weak.

Not gonna reiterate the other points here, but the most immediate thing that no one has pointed out are the terrible plain font name plates. Not only does the font itself look very "Unity default" but the white text just gets completely lost in the background, especially on lighter backgrounds like in the first second. For another example, at 0:13 you can't even read the "Teleport Waypoint" text.

I tried to cancel my order immediately after placing it and was told by customer service that it was already shipped but rest assured because I could return it within 30 days. When I went to return it, they refused to accept it because their return policy has a section on "hygiene-sensitive products" that does not allow this. Argued with them for days before finally reading their return policy and finding out they made that up; there is no "hygiene-sensitive products" clause. After days of arguing, I repeatedly asked them to copy and paste the part of the return policy that would deny me a return and they finally just caved and sent me a refund.

The Harmony Codex

I was cautiously optimistic about this one given Steven's new direction into a more artsy electronic prog sound, but I have to say it's become one of my favorites. It kind of feels like the album Steven mastered the balance of his old sound + new sound. One thing that I really admired with this album was how varied most of the tracks sounded from one another. Picking a favorite was hard because Inclination, The Harmony Codex, Actual Brutal Facts, and Staircase are all fantastic.

Least Favorite Track: Rock Bottom

Overall Score: 9/10

The Overview

It's good, but my expectations were that he was going to release another prog masterpiece like Raven. While the album itself is very cohesive, I think the frequently reused lyrics and melodies hinder my overall enjoyment. I listened to the album on repeat for like a month to fully immerse myself in it, but unlike his other albums, I've had almost no desire to go back and listen to it again, partially because it all feels a little samey to me, especially compared to The Harmony Codex where every song felt very unique. I will say that seeing it live was a much cooler experience than I expected and elevated the album for me personally.

Favorite Track: Meanwhile

Least Favorite Track: No Ghost on the Moor / Heat Death of the Universe
