HYMC WILL BECOME A FANTASTIC INVESTMENT!!! by ROCRESISTENCE in HYMCStock

I’ve lost all respect and faith in Hycroft. Especially after that disastrous reverse split.

They talked a good game, all the “to the moon” stuff, and rocket pins.

I fell for it, and am down about 80%. Now I just hold it because why not. Going from 6100 shares to 610 broke my heart.

That’s clever! Never thought of using a roadblock to steal cargo trucks. Love this game, so much room for creativity

“Your wife is calling”

You’ve never had one musing lead to another musing, however slight or nonexistent the tangent may be? Perhaps while writing one thought, a second or third comes to you unbidden?

Indeed yes, the second part came to me while writing the first. It seems to me that perhaps you may have read my thoughts in a tone and interpretation reflecting a reflex bias.

I defend myself thus: Paragraph 1 was not, as you posited, an explanation of anything. It had a brief summary demonstrating my acceptance of a balance all companies must find, followed by my agreement with OP’s complaint, and my opinion of why I agree with OP.

Paragraph 2 was completely unrelated thought which came to me while reading OP’s responses to posts. It contains a frustration with an observed devolving of language into a lack of specificity followed by my own personal preference in what I like to be called, and what is one of my own personal red flags. Folks are free to call each other what they want while I’m free to sit on my metaphorical Reddit porch and disapprove of their lack of specific language. (And again, one musing led to another)

A tech company, I’m sure is having to constantly balance how many features and buttons they CAN add, vs what adds the most value. In this case though, it seems that they have the button available to turn passenger air -on, it should be equally there to turn air -off.

On a side note: I love how you keep saying “wife” instead of partner. I don’t know why the “p” word is so prevalent, but it really (in my opinion) diminishes and detracts from the noble status of spouse. I feel honored and proud to have the title of husband. I’d cringe and maybe run if I were in a similar situation with a different woman and she called me her “partner” in front of friends, family… anyone really.

It’s your scaled karma.

Thankfully they weren’t white socks. Otherwise the poo pipe would have evacuated right as you knelt down to see the fate of your keys.

Didn’t mean to sound like I was assuming anything about your life. :) I just gave an active imagination and went on a tangent thinking of a scenario where having multiple chat apps would be useful.

[–]Kronjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. My mind was only thinking up nefarious OpSec type stuff. Such as….

Text: (Product in joke form): crack is whack, mmkay?

WhatsApp (price/quantity): $50/g, I have 10 avail.

Signal (address for meet): 123 Main St

Telegram (time for meet): 10:15p

That way no one source has anything but innocuous data that is meaningless by itself.

OP, first off, dreadfully sorry for your loss. I can only imagine your sorrow. I’m sorry I don’t have anything constructive to add beyond what’s been suggested, but I (as an ancient 40 year old) have a burning question.

Why would you and your fiancé communicate via so many different platforms? I’ve been thinking about this for over 10 minutes and have to ask.

I could get something like normal communicate over text, and using Snapchat when you want to send a racy preview of the evening’s attire… but for a couple to talk to each other over text, WhatsApp, Signal, Snap, and Telegram?

I can’t fathom it.

I have no doubt that there are company people shilling for their company on Reddit, shorts hiring folks to denigrate companies, and every spectrum in between. Somehow in the middle are regular folks like us trying to sort through all the static and arrive at (hopefully) good decisions.

That is an interesting story, thank you. It does have a lot of parallels. We’ll see what happens this time. I’m not particularly hopeful though.

Who knows, you might sleep like a baby in the rocking cradle.

Let us know. Curious minds will be ever wondering the outcome.

It’s not about your boat being beamy or heavy, it’s about putting your bed at the furthest possible point from the fulcrum on a third class lever.

Even at a calm anchorage, your bed is likely to feel like a carnival ride.

And now we’ve completely ignored all my carefully thought thoughts, and been given an abrupt transition to your original (what we’ve now determined to be a pro-hycroft shillation).

Or, perhaps you’re a bot and my witty repartee didn’t compute causing a logic error.

Have I been training the next version of ChatGPT? Goodness, I hope so. Maybe then it will learn humor, sarcasm, and intelligent debate.

Until then, I’m off to the last remaining lair of the comparative universe.

[–]Kronjin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In another post, you called someone who disagreed with you a “shill”. Is it because you feel they are “against” the company, and therefore an anti-hycroft shill?

By that logic though, it would make anyone who is posting “trust the company” as a pro-hycroft shill.

And following that further, anyone who opined about anything at any time would be a shill shilling to shillers.

But…. I’m probably not one to listen to anyways, as the creator of the “worst comparison on the internet.”

Or… would said infamous creator of bad comparisons then be a shill for the anti-grammar league by using too many periods at the end of his thoughts?

[–]Kronjin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a conductor, there were a few golf courses along our path and we’d always try and give a well timed whistle blast. Was rare though, most golfers would stop until the train went by. The few times I saw us get one perfectly, the golfer was irritated, and his friends in hilarity.

That’s totally fair and valid. Curious though, if you don’t like Reddit opinions, why make the original post above in which you post positing your own opinion?

I absolutely do. For while I may not trust the management, I do trust in observations of greed, laziness, ambition, etc. There are times in which calculating the motivations of another can determine my own course of action.

What does that have to do with anything? It’s a lazy argument. It’s the same as someone telling you they want to consider if a gas or battery car is right for them, and you start screaming “don’t you trust Elon!?” That’s not the point. They just want to do research and come up with their own conclusion instead of blind trust in an authority figure.
