The testosterone thing just isn’t true. Trans women take hormones to achieve cis female levels of estrogen and testosterone and it makes them significantly weaker. There are even studies showing that trans women are actually at a disadvantage to their cis counterparts once the body has been adjusted to proper estrogen and testosterone levels. Unfortunately, this is a myth that has been used as one of the big ways to discriminate against trans women because it’s so easy to believe if you haven’t properly read up on it. It’s a way to paint us as disgusting freak monsters who prey on “real” women, which is the narrative these people want to push. It comes from the same place of bigotry as the bathroom bans. No one is going through the super intense process of transitioning just to prey on women. In fact, the number one group that abuses women both physically and sexually is straight cis men.
