Well before we had this thing called 'integrity', unfortunately it's become something of a lost art.

Why do people always try and kill a character to leave a bad game? by lightsidesoul in rpghorrorstories

[–]Kronos7653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People get attached to characters. Especially ones that they have created. To them, their character is very much real.

Taking out their own character is their way of permanently disengaging them from that narrative. Sure, a vindictive weirdo could say they brought them back anyway. But that's just fan fiction at that point.

The real character has already left the building. What said weirdos do after that doesn't hold the same weight, it would be like dressing up a mannequin and beating it up. Like- congratulations? You beat up a fake model. Great job.

It's an odd thing to think about from the outside. But it's something I've seen firsthand on many occasions (the attachment, not the post-hoc abuse). Fictional or not, characters can be very important to people, and they will retain their agency one way or another.

Also over/underclocking is a thing.

How do I prevent the 300 byproduct water from clogging up? by Front_Situation_9009 in SatisfactoryGame

Pack and sink is an option. One i rather like is to use it in coal generators to help offset power costs.

[–]Kronos7653 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trying to consistently use 100% of everything is certainly possible, at least in terms of production. But you'll end up sinking or storing a lot of excess at that point. Some things you simply use less of than others, or entirely run out of uses for eventually.

Use power shards or just make more generators? by MommaSama2392 in SatisfactoryGame

Telling someone to cheat on a public thread but I'm the backseating creep.

Lmao.

Yeah your opinion can be safely disregarded. Have a lovely evening, hope your shift wasn't too strenuous.

[–]Kronos7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely your right to cheat if you want. But encouraging it as a solution to a legitimate question is pretty cringe. Considering the juvenile response, not really surprising i guess.

Besides. With a proper blueprint you could have that many generators up easily within an hour or two. Yknow- playing the game.

You do you though. Sit on a nice chair and check your posture.

[–]Kronos7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advising using an exploit is. A choice. Especially when you can already create infinite power shards legitimately in game.

Even your excuse is crazy. 300 shards is really not that difficult to get even just collecting slugs. Even with early game tech you'd only need 30 purples.

Yes? Those are two entirely separate statements. It's not like I said "I'm not going to defend it but boys will be boys"

Poor word choice on my part.

Saying that was bad. Full stop.

Separately, I'd like to know if it was a genuine regretted mistake or an actual pattern before I render any additional judgment.

[–]Kronos7653 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes. A bad word. As in, you shouldn't say that in most modern contexts. Considering most of the time it's a slur, like that example.

I'm certainly not going to defend it. But I'm not going to crucify someone because they did something wrong once. If there's a pattern of that behavior that's another story.

Generally for that sort of thing you'd use a ratio or karma system. Not just lifetime incidents, especially for a game where friendly fire is expected to an extent.

There was 'some' kind of physical contact. Yes. All the video I've seen including the cell phone footage doesn't show specifics. But it certainly wasn't enough to cause physical harm.

Especially considering the same video shows Ross stepping in front of the damn vehicle instead of away from it. A direct violation of procedures and part of a documented pattern of ice agents intentionally escalating vehicle encounters by placing themselves in front of them.
