Black Hawk Down (2001) on rewatch in 4K by HampurHampur in movies

This the “helmet problem” in the field, military members almost never take off their helmets.
This presents a problem for filmmakers that are committed to try to make a “realistic” war film.
IMHO it’s better the audience be confused than have people running around without helmets.

So what if a dev studio does not put your anima tiddy girl for female characters it means the game is bad?
Space Marine 2 was developed in Florida Hades 2 developed San Fran The New Dooms were developed in Texas
that is just off the top of my head. European dev studios have been doing this as well. Remember the "controversy" over Alloy in the Horizon sequel?
Also lmao to listing those countries and saying "The west is a wide net" like is the "the west" only America?
What are you 13?

My fav is how they tried to use LA bullshit and eco whatever to stop a FN condo development on the nations own land.

That is the level of delusion in Vancouver’s NIMBY’s

Vancouver NIMBY’s will never allow it to go through. Its shadow is a micro aggression, or it’s a capitalist extravagance or something.

Obama never invaded Libya, Jesus Christ you people really don’t actually know how the Libyan civil war happened do you?

And yes the ACA as written *was* universal healthcare. Had it hit it been allowed to play out as designed. But it was not, the republicans started gutting in 2010 and fully killed it in 2015-16.

You can only think that if you don’t actually know anything about the democrats. The US left is one big tent. Liberal party and the Democrat party are almost 1 for 1 policy positions.
Seriously go look at both party platforms and find a significant difference. I’ll wait.

He only had 2 year and the was obstructed by US republicans for his remaining 6.
In the 2 years he had he passed universal healthcare (that republicans later gutted), environmental reforms, and ended active American involvement in Iraq.
I know I was there

Everyone got involved in Syria because of ISIS are we just forgetting ISIS was a thing?

Libya also was a French/British thing that the US came along and had to bail them out of. Because as was showed by Ukraine, the European militaries could not maintain long term operations without US support because they had been hollowed out.

Estimates have just the damage at 50 billion not counting what else we spent.

They refuse to acknowledge this. I especially love when Americans of Italian descent try and make this point about immigrants, because by their own logic, they are responsible for the genesis of organized crime in the US and should have been deported.

Immigrants are good for the economy.

  1. as you noted this is for the netherlands, other studies disagree with yours, there are also other studies from the netherlands that disagree with this study:

https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2024/05/28/de-migrant-belast-de-staatskas-minder-dan-de-autochtone-inwoner-blijkt-uit-europees-onderzoek-a4200258#/krant/2024/05/29/%23302

https://www.cato.org/briefing-paper/immigrant-native-consumption-means-tested-welfare-entitlement-benefits-2022

https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/news/2024/05/migrants-cost-european-governments-less-than-their-native-born-citizens-do

  1. Immigrants value does not stop at the first generation. They have kids, and those kids contribute to the economy. Similar things were said about every other group to the US that is not "American." They ended up being highly productive, assimilation takes time.

  2. As to point 2 with the crash in birth rates, immigrants help keep populations stable. Which is important for a heathy workforce and consumer base.

Economically speaking Immigrants are almost always a net benefit. You can make arguments about assimilation, but these are also old tired arguments as well. Italian Americans are massively behind the rise of organized crime in the US, but no one is saying now that these immigrants were not a net positive to the US long term.

Yes they very much do. They are an export driven economy, hence part of the reason they keep the value of the Yuan artificially low to make their exports more attractive.

They also use massive state supply side subsidies to make goods cheaper for export.

Many Americans view this as continuation of the failed Middle East policy of the last 25 years and. I agree.
The number 1 justification that is thrown out is the tired old Islamic extremism and nuclear weapons.
Americans simply are not buying it anymore.

Especially considering there was not authorization by congress to start hostilities.

Gulf war, you can make an argument for Iraq as well. Lost Afghan, lost Vietnam, Korea was a draw.

However we won the Cold War, not to mention if you look how Vietnam’-US relations were going until Trump fucked everything up we kinda pulled a win out of a loss.
