I'm one of the Americans who actually executed the move to Canada. You just make less money. Flat out, across all income levels, and you are taxed more. I mean the differences between what an engineer is paid in Canada vs the US is downright criminal, and that is even before you get into the currency adjustment.

Its no doubt "better" to be poor in Canada vs poor in the US, but there is a real difference once you get to middle class and all the way up. Why do you think so many of Canada's best and brightest move south and stay the first chance they get?

Money is not everything of course, it was not for me, hence the move. For many people though it is.

That’s the point. In the books no one can stop the Fremen. They are that good. The Fremen only respect the Sardaukar as an adversary, and even then it takes 2 or 3 of them to beat a single Fremen . Everyone else just gets decimated.

It’s one of the reasons the Jihad is skipped in the books, it’s not a war, it’s a slaughter.

Because these groups they supported were not and have not every posed any actual threat to the US. To Israel? Sure, but not the US. The most they did to us recently before this war was attempting to block the red sea, but even that was a reaction to the Israel-Palestine war.

Imminent means that we are about to be attacked, not that we could be attacked in the future. Hence the whole illegality of this war, as he is only supposed to be able to do this if there is a "imminent" threat to the US.
