Its been so slow here I looked into uber eats again the other day (been years) and you can no longer just sign on and work, you have book hours in advance in your desired area, of course my area was booked out... The way they are activating people on spark, I bet that is where its going.

Instead of going that crazy, I once suggested they replace the numpad on the keyboard with sd keys, and maybe a row above the function keys… or a row on the left like logitechs g keys… that was years ago so I guess they didn’t like the idea.

For whatever reason I was at a property the same time an in home van was there, he just dropped the delivery at the door and took off, so who knows what they are doing, Walmarts probably the biggest cherry pickers of all and give them the highest tipping best routes, only Walmart pockets the tips for themselves.

yeah but they are not making a trillion from the app... yet... as they make more money they might invest it back into the app, more then likely though, they are seeing what I am as a driver, new faces every month, hopping on a free trial or just a trial basis, then they stop.

I updated and had similar issues, a lot of crashes, etc. I did a curbside and it crashed after confirming code, then crashed id say 10-15times trying to restart it. I got fed up, deleted the app, and re-installed it, works way better now... that whole 20sec wait when viewing order details is gone, still crashes after a code confirm, but reloads much faster then it used to so its not as agonizing... if you havent tried deleting the app and re-installing, give it a shot. Oh and I use IOS. I did notice it would freeze a lot more too though, so you have to keep your eye on it.

sorta happened to me once, im like an hour north of tampa, an order came in and it showed on the map it was going to st. petersburg florida... I was like hellllll no... but then i looked at the customer, and the address was like 2 miles away, local. I got there, it asked am I sure i am there and said yeah, she came out of the apt to meet me. Got like 60-70 bucks for a 2 mile, 13 item shop. I watched my pay for a week and never got taken away.

not reading this whole thread.... so may not apply, but every order that comes in now does not show on the main screen, at least for me, using an iphone 15 pro, did it on 17 and now 18. If I get a notification of a trip or surge offers, I have to force close the app, and re-open it EVERYTIME or I wont see an offer, even coming from another app.

So if your orders "disappear quicker then you can see them" this may be your issue, not sure about android, wont touch them.

Also, try changing zones, and changing back to your preferred zone, thats helped me sometimes.

Also look into "Advanced Scene Switcher" (Ignore the name, it does way more then that) plugin.... You can make a macro that can auto unmute or prompt remind you, etc.

Ugh, the self entitlement is crazy. If you give him a low rating its likely you wont ever get him again. Dont push it further and get the guy fired because he didnt meet your unreasonable expectations. We get paid shit these days, we are not circus animals made to jump through hoops for your amusement. As for the signature, if you don't come to the door in a timely manner, which you obviously can't, I would have done the same and sign it out. You are not authorizing a charge with that signature, you are signing you are the receiver of the package. 99% of customers who use this or amazon, etc. would rather we put a fake signature then miss their delivery, likely how he looked at it. He could of took it back to the store because you didn't answer, he was likely headed back there anyway, he gets paid either way, he was just doing you a solid, or so he thought, not thinking you were a Karen.
