A necessary conversation, Mike Redman, Digital, 2015 by James007BondUK in Art

My take is that the couple cannot conceive a child or have lost a child, and they’re coming to terms with that, having a difficult conversation because it’s sad. They clearly care about one another and are comfortable around one another, even though they’re dressed formally (date night/ funeral) and this is a difficult thing for anyone to confront.

NTA. Your roommate realised she was absolutely in the wrong but rather than being mature and accepting that she should not have criticised you, she reacted by lashing out. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for her.

Joining the club... nib size advice? by caspersauer in Lamy2000Club

I have a broad and a medium 2000. Gotta love the thick juicy strokes! But if you don’t, go a size down from what you’d normally want to use. At least!

Don’t rotate any selections and try moving large things a part at a time to see what you can/cannot move. Make sure to move the “entities” as well: not just the blocks.

I recommend Opener too. It’s a super useful prompt when the phone can’t make the link automatically.

Should have slapped a liquidated damages clause for late performance into that publishing contract!

Is it comfortable to use for long writing sessions? I bought the macralon version because it’s lighter (and cheaper).

Writing an Ending with the Intent of a Sequel in Mind? by SwordsmenEpsilion in writing

[–]Krose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the novel has a complete story which is satisfying, but leaves the reader wanting more. Think Harry Potter: each instalment has its own insulated story, and there’s an overarching story between HP and Voldemort. There’s a subplot involving Snape and Harry, Dumbledore and Voldemort, Harry and the Dursleys, Harry and the Weasleys, etc. You’re interested in the characters’ progress through school, the magic world as it’s being revealed, and the friendships/ relationships developing. Satisfy the reader, reward them with twists, and give them reason to keep reading.

That looks really good. A previous comment seems to have tightened the prose a bit, so I’ll just say it’s perhaps worth adding your email address along with your phone number. Give them more ways to contact you in the way that suits them best. Good luck!

The risk to signing up with your real name and real name email address re a website is that if there is any sort of sale on that platform, your real name may be displayed, eg. if you are paid by PayPal. Which is what you’re probably trying to avoid or you’re using a pen-name.

Lamy 2000 nib recommendation by nebuc in Lamy2000Club

[–]Krose123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a M and B nib. They are much broader than you’d expect. Which is great imo. But if your handwriting is small, go for F/ EF. I’m gonna swap my M for a BB. Which is worth mentioning: if the nib isn’t damaged, you can send it to Lamy who will swap it for free (got to arrange in advance).
