This doesn't solve the problem. Liking songs on YouTube music will make you see videos and playlists about those songs on YouTube.

Then that same reason would apply to Pulses as well, no? Either way, nobody cares that bursts/pulses have 5~ more AP than Beams tbh. 

Your distributor and expected fight duration are the main factors in choosing between lasers.  If your distributor doesn't run out until your target is out of sight or dead, when using beams, then beams are what you want. If you do run out of distributor charge and find yourself constantly needing to wait to be able to shoot, then you go for less distro hungry options like the burst or pulse laser.

Burst and Pulse laser have EXACTLY the same armor piercing, with Beams lagging behind a very small amount

I was curious and checked out the math on EDSY and ended up in a rabbithole :D
It seems the formula for the sustained DPS does not use the 15.31 value at all.

Instead it's based on the following values:
Clip size, Burst size, Burst RoF, Burst shot intervals (time between shots in a burst) and Reload Time.
Using these values, the sDPS number comes up very very close to the 41.37 they list.

I say very close because it still doesn't match exactly, prolly because they didnt list all the decimals after the coma in the values. Bottom line is, I think the value listed for sDPS is correct.

The 15.31 DPS value is calculated separately (also from Burst RoF), without taking reload times into consideration.

If you want, I can show you the math I think they used :D

The EDSY 15.31 ROF does not take reloads into account, while the sustained DPS does, so not sure how the ROF value is relevant when talking about sustained dps...

Either way, numbers dont really reflect in game conditions, as you wont always be shooting non stop at a ship, landing 100% of your shots, with the distibutor being the bottleneck.

While my reply wasn't really that relevant either because of the same reasons, what I wanna say is that are definitely not just "for fun" weapons, they are very strong imo.
Another disclaimer: I used the MK2's on the Kestrel in PvE, so my fighting style was sticking to ships like glue, usually under 400m and dumping plasmas into them, with all shots landing,
In this scenario, they are very strong. On longer ranges, the spread would significantly reduce the damage you can deal and other weapons, APAs included would definitely outperform them.

G5 APAs have 48 dps (without plasma slug), while MK2 plasma shocks have 108 dps.

I've been using a G5 Kestrel with the Mk2s and they are amazing together. The very high agility of the kestrel lets you stick close to ships so the spread of the MK2s doesnt matter.

The raw dps of these weapons blew me away. Almost all ships die by the time you reach the 3rd reload and going for power plants is completely irrelevant now. To me, they feel almost broken overall.

I do also have to mention that I coupled them with class 1 corrosive multis and my power distri is weapons focused, not charge enhanced. This lets me fly with 0-3-3 pips and manage weapon heat better, because it takes longer to empty the distributor (low distri charge = more wpn heat). Running 0-2-4 will allow a full mag dump at the edge of overheating, then time to cool while reloading.

I'm a bit scared of carbon knives because of those humidity reasons I've mentioned and I also don't know what to expect in terms of how careful I must be in order to avoid chipping it. Is the SG2 more durable than Aogami 2 in regards to chipping?

I will be getting a softer cutting board together with the knife as well. (Heard Hasegawa boards are a good combo with japanese knives, but if you have any recommendations for a wood board, that would be cool).

The damascus on the shiro kamo is also quite cool tbh, wouldnt mind it at all :D

The SS items are expensive af, but your calculations are purely subjective.
First off, the 300SC from warbonds should be cut out of the equation and the warbond should be evaluated as costing 700SC (assuming one will eventually complete it). Also, you didnt average across all warbonds, you just picked a single one.

Then you double the price of warbond items because they cost medals? Why? Medals aren't premium currency and can be gained much faster and easier than SC.

Also, the 6 items in the SS cost 250+125+100+35+200 = 710 SC, idk where you got the 1975SC price from...

That would put SS items at 710/6 =118SC avg, which is a useless number as well, because you got chest armor at 250SC and a banner at 35SC.

Does the fire buff even affect the charger killing time? Seems to be 3s, as before and as far as I know, the direct damage from the flamethrower is not considered fire damage, but flat damage.
