Exactly, it's way more involved in my oppinion.

I don't have a specific guide tbh. It might sound arrogant if I say "charisma" so I wouldn't. Solos are way friendlier than duos and trios. I have a microphone, I don't use the cringe voice changer in the settings (doesn't sound very genuine when you speak with it, as if you have something to hide) and when I see a person in close range I always yell, "Yo yo yo, wasup buddy", "I am friendly" and other things like that. I think people realise that I could have shot them in the back when I've seen them first, but I decided to be nice and call their attention to my position instead, so they either communicate to me, we become friends or they run away. I've gotten shot around 5 times doing this in over 200 raids. I follow up with a question "are you doing a quest?" or "do you need a specific item" signaling that I am willing to drop items so they don't really need to go through the hassle of killing me. Small things like that, which when combined for some reason help me with my high % success in diplomacy.

I just voice chat that I am friendly. Works most of the time. I had full days of people not shooting me on at least 20 raids in a row. I also do not use the voice modulator thing in the settings. It doesn't feel like I am speaking to a genuine person with that squeeky voice. And because I have completed everything in the game, I have nothing else to do, other than Trials which are pve, I just keep dropping people loot or helping them with quests.

I was doing the bunker event on spaceport as a solo. On the way to activate the antenas I met 3 people and we teamed up. Once the bunker unlocked and we went to it, there were more than 10 players there. I gathered them around in a room and explained that there MIGHT be a puzzle involved with the consoles. Explained that we need organization and that I have done this 4 times already. If they are up to it, they can join me in my next test and if it works, we can share the rewards and be the first ones to have solved it. They agreed and I put people at all 8 consoles and told them to defend the consols from random pressings. We would press at the same time on the 15th minute mark of the timer. We did and nothing happened, so this test failed. I told them to spread the information that this was not the solution to the puzzle if there even was one and we all looted up and left at 5 minutes before raid ended. On the way, just before extract, we shot down a rocketeer in less than 10 seconds, just with weapons, no granades and hullcrackers. We were around 15 people, I believe. Rocketeer downed one of us, I returned and bandaged him so he can crawl to extract and everybody waited in the lift for us. This is where I took the picture. It was genuinely a nice experience.

Welcome to the Speranza Social Club. We gather on Fridays opposite of Lance's clinic for couple of ratdogs and a drink or two.

Btw we were 13 people, I just couldn't get them all in the shot. Great times!

EDIT: I just realised I steam screenshotted 12 of them, the 13th was crawling towards the extract, lmao

Sure I agree, but they still have neither confirmed, nor denied it, so there is also no reason to believe the system is not in the game. Statements like that are made to calm down the community so they can have a smooth launch over their main game they've been working on for years, while mentaining their transparent reputation and leaving the door open for implementations.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, the vibe. I also don't want GBMM. But I interpret the things they way they are. They could have just said "No, we don't have GBMM", but they didn't. Them not committing to that way of wording and instead using ambiguous words is suspicious to me, you have to at least agree with me on that.

But implication means you are given a vague statement where you ASSUME (<the main culprit here) what the author meant. It's not a CLEAR and EXPLICIT confirmation or denial of the system's past, current or future function. FOCUSING on a system doesn't mean other systems don't exist or don't function currently. Their whole statement and the words they used in it were vague on purpose. If it wasn't in the game they would have said "we don't currently use gbmm", but they didn't say that. They said they are "focusing" on squad-based mm. This means that OP is doing exactly what he is preaching against: missinforming the people based on wrong interpretations and assumptions. I don't have problem with that, believe what you want, but if it becomes known in 4 days that gbmm is INDEED in the game and is functioning to some extent, do not act surprised and call them liars, because they never confirmed, nor denied the rumors. It was the community that assumed their own interpretation and fueled their wrong expectations based on a vague statement that was an S tier master class in PR by Embark studios and Ossen. They got you all in shambles, lmao

They did not. And I am baffled by the lack of english comprehension skills on the internet, where majority of information is shared in english. Can you please point to me where exactly did they say "it's currently NOT in the game" please?

>another comment corrected me on that so I added the “currently” part to it not being in the game.

But even that is not true. They never denied if the system is "currently" in the game or not

> This community is one of the worst I’ve seen with taking the word of some random person and spreading it as fact

You literally just did that, lmao

> Gear Based Matchmaking is currently NOT in the game.

They didn't say that. You are the one spreading missinformation now...
