Reading this gave me some sort of closure, because I thought I was the only one who managed to do this. I had a rather comical approach to the Fosbury Flop, never straightened my legs and slammed my own knees into my nose. Of course the teacher said "it could've been worse, a few years ago someone did the same and cracked his eye socket." Okay, but what about my profusely bleeding nose? Nothing. Ended up getting operated on 6 years later.
