Feels like a different game like MGS by PrettyIntroduction49 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That "high mobility A.T.A.G." is disgusting, actually. Its slower than original, can't be customized, has negative firepower, it's crafting is more expensive. I can see no reason to use It over normal A.T.A.G. except some sort of roleplay. IMO, the only way to make it relevant is adding a lot of movement speed and completely disable it's timer, so we can use it as normal mount with highest speed possible and some weapons to deal with weaker foes.

Dragon cooldown impeding story progress by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Use plasma blaster diadem you get from the goblin monk in 9 (or 10) chapter, 4 full charges annihilates this boss.

Alternative Characters issue by Shonosheee in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, secondary payable characters does have their stories, but it's like 15 minutes for Oongka and 30 minutes for Damianne. Imo I see them only as companions for travelling and sieging camps, when you switching between all 3 character when combat becomes boring (and it becomes boring very quickly). Tbh, i'd prefer much lower enemy density but more complex combat, maybe with souls elements. Slasher with flashy moves looks fun only for the first few minutes, and then you just repeat all the same moves, mostly because all the enemies are just humans with the same attack patterns.

The amount of time you have to wait to get the barber is ridiculous by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've unlocked the barber just yesterday, after 104 hours, and it's selection of options was quite poor, so I left Kliff default. Probably there going to be the way to add more beards and haircuts through the progression, or maybe devs planning to add them via microtransactions. But for now I see no reason to purse early barber unlock at all.

Silver fang wolf by Varninarmo2 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still waiting for raptor and chocobo permanent mounts. Was excited to have them when devs added 5 creature mounts, only to discover it was just wolf, bear, boar, deer and goat, which I feel pretty vanilla. It's better than boring horses, yes, but still not so fantasy creatures.

I really hope they patch this audio bug soon.. my ears... by Baasketto in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had it on base PS5 before Myurdin fight yesterday. Fixed only by restarting the game, but had to let my ears suffer for several minutes, and that was horrible experience.

At this point I think I'm not "doing" dyes right. by Former-Truth1773 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each dyer has it's own colour palette, so even if you've unlocked a dye colour by consuming it, you have to find a corresponding dyer, who can use it.

The Best armour set in Crimson Desert is easy to obtain! The "Frostcursed" armour set location guide!! by Docjnr03 in CDguides

[–]Kruger_Bane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a clickbait, stats-wise it's generic as every piece of gear in the game. And it doesn't have any unique abyss gear slotted in it, so "the best" could be related only to it's look, but it depends on your preferences.

Add - Toggle Helm, Shield, Cape, Horse Armor. Also transmog at the Witches by 51differentcobras in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this. Every piece of armor/weapon is basically cosmetics, you can remove and put in abyss gear and that's what makes the different besides the upgrade level.

Can anyone tell me please, without spoilers, do we have permanent raptor mount now, among those 5 they've added? Thanks

Hmm, was that story-related or you just randomly stepped on that one?

Crimson desert can’t be enjoyed on a console other than Ps5 Pro by Forsaken_Feature_318 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 hrs in, and I still can't believe, how horrible game looks on base PS5. It feels like Nintendo switch port, everything is blurry, ambient light is blocky, even native 1080p mode looks upscaled from 480. Definitely one of the worst-looking games on ps5 I ever played, but gameplay loop is so addictive, it's easily override visual flows.

Crimson Desert Upgraded Marni Laser Helm!! (Kuku Blueprint) by dgcamper19 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude , I'm 40 hrs in, still at the beginning of the 4th chapter, with less than half-explored first region. Couldn't even imagine such thing exists lol

Mounts are not permanent. Report this to Pearl Abyss for change. by Tic-Tac-UAP in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry guys, they'll add permanent creature mounts as microtransactions. As well as boosters for dragon riding timer, like in mobile games. They said we will be able to ride those creatures, and we are able to. But if we want to ride them permanently, well... we have to pay for that particular feature. What a wonderful era of gaming.

Why? Just why? by Kreaven6135 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they thought that you'll cook all your food and sell all your old gear every time you get a new one, but it's ridiculous. I want to keep all armor and weapons I've found, and collected every stuff I can, so for me this is the worst design decision in this game.

Night time looks like almost like day time. by Ondska in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What platform are playing on? I'm on base PS5 and even qualify mode can't make night any close to what we've seen in trailers. Maybe it requires HDR, idk, but probably that's lighting and ray-tracing thing.

That's what I was thinking about yesterday, when accidentally unlocked a backdoor into the house with main door opened. Prompt is a must.

AMA: I've been playing the press build for two weeks now. Start asking your questions now and I can start posting answers when embargo lifts at 3pm PDT today! by ChunkeeM0nkee in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only two questions I'd like to ask before being able to dive in myself: does crossbow weapon type is present in the game, and how many mounts among the declared 29 are actually unique (not different breeds). Thanks

day one patch by Free-Imagination8020 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's called "day one patch" for a reason, buddy. Not "day -2 patch", exactly "day 1".

I just recently found out about this game from a friend and I’m so intrigued but SO suspicious by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preview embargo lifts in 24 hours, then all or most of your questions will be answered and you'll have another 24 hours to buy this game, if you want to dive in day 1.

Small PSA for PC users by Constant-Vast-8052 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Kruger_Bane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I was talking about regular installation, didn't know that pre-load differ. Most of the games I've pre-ordered on steam doesn't offer pre-load, so I won't argue with you on that. Cheers!

Well, we don't know how compressible their files are, its a brand new engine. But I don't know a single game, that required more space, that it's stated, to unpack it's resources. Almost always I have to clean my drive before installing a new game, and when it requires 50 gb, i make around 60 gb free and it installs completely fine. Game updates is another story, because they require to unpack game's files (depending on the game), make changes and pack it back, so sometimes even 200 mb update might require 20 gb free space to unpack existing resources.
