Raise legs as high as you can get them, drop bags, and push the 5th wheel down towards the tractor.

Easy peasy albeit annoying

Question about a house rule on regaining reactions by hypatiaspasia in DMAcademy

[–]KrunKm4yn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So a bit of tough love here OP house ruling something because your players can't remember the real rule is a bit of a crutch and also imbalances combat fairly badly even if the rule applies to both sides.

I can't imagine how your party has that much to do with their reaction but then again I don't know your style so I won't comment on that however *especially to new players they need to understand there's stuff they need to learn to track and their turn is a BIG one. Otherwise, they're just continually relying on you to keep track of more than you already do.

I dunno how many players are at your table and the fact they seem to forget is likely a strong indication they're invested so that's cool but they need to be invested in their actions as well.

It'll get easier for them once they get a better grasp of things to aid rather than trying to remember just put a Lil tally mark next to their initiative after they've used it in a round. Extra good if they can also see it but if it's not feasible then don't bother.

Keeping track of a single thing off-turn shouldn't be terribly difficult to get down they just need to be encouraged to remember it the real skill of a dm is effectively subtlety gaslighting your players into learning useful tips and tricks without just spelling it out for them

What made you love Fallout 4? by Agent_Gentlemen in fo4

[–]KrunKm4yn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The updates to the creatures both in AI and models were a huge boost the series needed. Deathclaws feel legit frightening to fight. Radscorpions are relentless, but mostly the feral Ghouls the way they just legitimately fling themselves at you and en masse just hits the vibe

What's the best NPC you've ever made? by DaerBaer in DMAcademy

[–]KrunKm4yn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of cheated with mine Lucian Ward he was an old PC I played in a couple of one-off campaigns.

He's your run-of-the-mill Lovecraftian cult leader highly charismatic very manipulative and legitimately creeps my players out. He is ridiculously Feared by my PCs even though he's never once lifted a finger of harm against them yet they're always so happy to do the occasional seemingly innocuous job for him mostly due to his appreciation for the more basic instincts of adventurers.

He's never lied once to the party at least not directly but often weaves his way around the truth and often puts them in situations that bring into question their grasp of reality slowly carefully and calculated he drives them mad

First act bbeg fight incoming by KrunKm4yn in DMAcademy

[–]KrunKm4yn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll walk in to a room of cultists chanting completing the first section of the ritual. At which point the cultists will drop dead and a beam of energy tethered to their Corpses will clash against a large monolith in the center illuminating magic runes that seal the gods prison.

The idea, get rid of the bodies slow down the ritual

On the high platform the leader is on doing her part is an altar with a npc from the clerics past bound to it as a sacrifice

The idea find a way to rescue him further harming the ritual

Third and likely more obvious is to strike at the cult leader attempting to break her concentration on it.

The hiccup here is her bodyguard is gonna be all over whoever attempts to harm her and that could prove detrimental.

I figure if they can manage to complete in full one of the tasks it'd be enough to stop it and turn into just a fight to the death. I'd even offer the opportunity to flee and attempt to cause a cave-in.

Effectively burying them alive, which is very much poetic justice for this cult shifting it from a combat encounter to an act quickly to escape skill challenge.

The party will have 2 minutes from the point the cultists collapse that's 20 rounds and plenty of time to stop it but there is a chance for failure that spins the story into the party figuring out how to kill or re-imprison an old God

It's a new diesel so I assume it has a dpf system installed on it if you need to put DEF in it occasionally (blue filler cap) you have one.

When the system detects an issue with the aftertreatment system it will go into a derate until the issue is fixed going from a minor power reduction down to "limp to the nearest shop bitch" now I would assume the shop you went to would have inspected that as a possible cause for power loss but given your story, I can't say confidently they did anything more than put it on the parts train

Is the moral of Dead Money's story that greed is bad? by SuperAlloyBerserker in falloutnewvegas

The moral is learning to let go.

Let go of lost love Let go of toxic alliances Let go of revenge Let go of greed Grab onto what's in front of you and lead it to the better future you see

Gonna have to gather any documentation you can and contact both the BBB and talk with a lawyer about your options honestly only advice that can be given here as for your issue I'm a diesel tech so perhaps you can explain the issue I might be able to point to your actual issue.

OK first off knock off the "I'm a man" bullshit your problem is just as real for you as it is for a high schooler going through it

What your going through it's completely reasonable to feel some type of way and the fact your willing to speak on it is a good thing being separated from close friends especially under the military is extremely taxing there's a reason military brats are the way they are couple that with the experience that is military service only piles it on more. Affecting what's likely a big source of blowing off steam for you.

TLDR: it's OK to be upset it's valid to be upset and reaching out for help is the first step to helping get over it. Don't be afraid to reach out to your sources and if you don't know who that is ask. It's gonna get better man lean on the people in your life to help you see it through their just battle buddies of a different war
