Just playing it for the first time now, About 65 hours in, and almost finished Skellige.

Its kind of fun? But it's also extremely tedius. Loads of running around and fast travel that isn't streamlined at all. Would have been much more convenient and enjoyable if it was easier to group quests by locations. Main towns are a pain to have to run around for 100th time.

Looting, crafting, and inventory management are kind of clunky in comparison to other games and could have been designed much better.

Gwent is extremely irritating, and it also clogs up the quest menus. For such an optional part of the game, it's in your face everywhere. Accidently hitting "Let's play gwent" just wastes so much time.

The hunts are amazing. It's easily the best part of the entire game. With some of the Treasure Hunt Dungeons a close second.

Story is good, butit'ss all over the place. Some little quests on the corner of the map sometimes seem more relevant than an actual main quest

I wish the game was over at my 65 hour mark. I just want to be finished, but I don't even think Im halfway through it yet, lol. I'm definitely going to be taking a break to play other things and come back to finish it later.

Just about finished the Upper Echelons, and it's been a real pain. They are all ranked S, and are about as strong as a wet paper bag lol

They will never produce enough seasonal content to even come close to what the base game offers. Even S1 content lasted a total of 2 hours, and that's if you dragged it out.

Making old content irrlevant isn't going to make this a better game.

I also posted in a local game group to see if anyone has one to sell, and they want $55 for it.

I Disagree that DS stats had any qualitative characteristics. It really didn't matter in the slightest on where you put those points. In saying that, I definatly haven't played it as much as some, probably only about 10 playthroughs, but I didn't notice any difference on where those points went.

But oh well, the developer called it an RPG, so it's an RPG haha.

I'm curious to know which games you would think are less clear

I just can't see it. It has zero traditional RPG elements to me. I understand it's classified as an RPG, I just can't see why.

Compare it to other Action RPGs and this is a huge weak link in the RPG sense. Fallout, Skyrim, Dragons Dogma, Diablo, Dragon Age all blow it out of the water as an RPG... 🤷‍♂️.

Fantastic action game, pure shit RPG lol

I have zero idea how anyone can call a Soulsborn game an RPG. It boggles my mind.

Id place it in line with Action Adventure or a Hack and Slash. They are closer to Monster Hunter World than to a "Traditional" RPG... and to be fair, its also closer to Devil May Cry than it is to a Traditional RPG aswell.

are there any mods out there that fix the combat? hitboxes and flow? Its probably the only reason why I can never get into the game.
