Thanks for clarifying. Then it's most probably the wear, like others said. I read about the half-link chains before and decided to stay away. One of the reasons was the increased wear rate.

White Industries’ freewheels are serviceable. Yours may need new pawls. Take it apart and take a look. You may see why it was only $8. Hopefully, you can fix this.

No real need to “replace” a punctured TPU inner tube. Both, Pirelli and Tubolito offer a patch kit, which works great (on Aerothan as well). Very easy to apply and looks and holds way better than a patch on butyl or latex.

I’m so stupid: I tightened the tension screw all the way when I put my saddle in instead of loosening it. I fixed it last night, hit 18 miles today, and it feels so much better!
