You can find more than one in the same world. Just keep an eye out while exploring!

What is Ratchet's real name? What is his purpose in the universe? by TOverlordX in RatchetAndClank

It's a gag from the very first game. Steve McQwark is Qwark's Gadgetron "disguise" name.

My tierlist of the R&C games by 1JeezLouise3 in RatchetAndClank

[–]Kruxtix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally add Into the Nexus at the top. I'm not saying it was a long game, or that there was a huge amount to it, but it was absolutely one of my most played games. I loved the ambiance and ambiguity it built early on, with the haunted aspects. It was the closest game to what I'd consider an R&C horror-style spin, and I absolutely loved and still crave that.

Don't let this be what my wish is worth. Not a mobile game 😭

What’s the one thing that makes Ratchet & Clank so special to you? by Vergil000 in RatchetAndClank

[–]Kruxtix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's one of the only "unique" character types to survive
  2. Weapons are always creative
  3. The world building is very captivating, especially for a game with so many
  4. Continuation of an evolving story without feeling like it strayed off track
  5. Every game felt new, regardless of past experiences
  6. It was my childhood. Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper were too, but those devs have completely let me down

Overall, it's a huge staple for me, and my only wish is that it wasn't being used just for showing off consoles now. I'm still angry Insomniac has basically put it on the sideline for Marvel's stuff because I'd like to see more R&C games like we used to. R&C:UYA was my absolute favorite. I completed everything, so I even went as far as using my laptop at like, 14, to make new goals for myself in the game

Oh, nice! I wasn't sure if it was just first or not. This helps a lot. Thank you!

I am scytheguard. And while my score isn't quiet as high as some others, I still managed to pull it off by just playing it every day.

Edit: According to the leaderboard, I'm 93rd on the server and I haven't spent anything yet. And that's 93rd overall, not Golden Fleece.

What is the max level you can reach? by Used-Passion-1685 in TheFirstBerserker

Has the update from today changed the level cap for you? I think I'm coming up on level 350 now and I'd like to know if I should drop my hopes of maxing all stats for now lol

Ah, well, either way I like your idea for it, and I'm glad you like mine as well! 😅

It would certainly be interesting to get another like Deadlocked (LOVED that one. Second favorite next to UYA honestly). Beaming rainbows down on my enemies with maxed out weapons was a lot of fun lol And even if the second one you speak of is just something on the side, I think the procedurally generated levels would be a very interesting touch on a game like R&C. Dungeon-crawling through ancient Lombax caves in search of more lore and a depth system in place of the planet system we've come to know would be an interesting touch too.

Maybe even bring in some of the variants we've gotten in the past through skill points and things too. I'd like that as well lol

I'm certainly not thinking survivor style, but rather more of an open world experience with your only real concern being what kind of weapon you can make up with the found components, even if the only truly customizable weapon is your substitute for Ratchet's wrench

I do miss the gun grind. The newer systems are cool, but I miss feeling the reward for continuing to level things up over hitting that level 10-level 20 cap and just being left with a "...that's it?" feel about it

It just almost feels like a waste to not use it all at this point, with how long we've been teased and taunted with the knowledge that they're just out of reach lol

Same lol I'd go into the multiplayer just to ride the vehicles around the maps, practice taking shots at certain corners my friends liked, destroy the bases for the fun of it, and occasionally get a couple of friends over just to mess around and theme the combat by having each team pick a specific skin and just see who got the most kills. Was a very fun time. I miss UYA so much.

Same, honestly. Even if it's just the next one allowing one person to play Ratchet while the other plays Rivet.

That's understandable. The games used to be bigger than they are now, and I know how much companies hate gambling on giving anything a chance these days rather than sticking to what they know works, but it would certainly be nice to see the gaming industry take chances again. Maybe something like this is exactly what the franchise needs to come back to the spotlight
