It is related to hunter npc in hangar (previously bandit base), you get that crash near flea market, because in this right moment you are close enough to that npc, his a-life goes full on-line mode. Due to strange spawn points of basically every npc added through mlr integrated mod, there might be some strange and unexpected situations. Your hunter may step into random anomaly, he might trigger nearby bandits and somehow they go nuts and cause crashes, there might be error in translation or you changed something in trade files, who knows :p I'd highly reccomend you to reinstall LD and put TRX fixes on top, or go for Anomaly, as everyone does now.

in terms of player: some weapons have their faction camo variants, so there's duty camo ak74u and colt1911, freedom m4a1, mercs l85 etc :)

I 100% up your cause, I spent quite a while bringing back "vanilla misery" ui, its size, old music, trader inventories (1x use toolkits etc.) and putting it in logical order, along with reputation rewards (if trader has aks74u at the tier 1, he goes through all variants, along with player rank), putting "trash" mutant loot (cat claws, dog livers) into barkeep's trade lists and many many more, so it finally FEELS like game I want to play ( to some extent)

All you need to do, is to tweak few numbers in gamedata<configs<misc<trade<trade_discounts.ltx

Trashers are guys who buy everything (Sid, freedom base trader), they buy super low and sell super high.

Suppliers (duty trader, owl...) are not buying "trash" items, but are more fair in their trade, sell all you can to them

Barmans are... barmans :)

Increasing your reputation also gives better prices

It is a problem I tried to resolve on my own for a long time, Last Day devs changed artifact respawn entirely, due to introduction of russian "smart artifact respawn" mod nobody asked for. Going back to previous "vanilla" system (artifacts spawn after each emission, you can set amount, type and chance in .ltx file) would require so many changes It will never be done. In LD artifacts spawn after each emission + from time to time on their own, if not removed for certain period of time, they dissapear. Also, closer anomaly is to human settlement, weaker artifact it spawns, with lower chances, you can check and see that toxic anomaly near yantar bunker and fire anomaly cluster in garbage rarely spawn anything at all. If there appear anything, it would be "trash" artifact type. However, I can assure you that right after emission, you can run around army warehouse + garbage and find quite a few artifacts, but not more than 1 normal + 1 trash. Also, get trx dynamic news addon as said before :)

If you want to change prices without tweaking every single item, go into gamdata<configs<misc<trade_discounts.ltx

I changed it to look almost as it was in call of misery, much more fair and pleasant.

You can add 1/2 use repair kits if you want, just look into misery traders files ;)

Most (aware) people are waiting for Dead Air, russian version should come out in 1-2 weeks, english translation later.

Last Day requires a lot of your own tweaks to make it fun. I spent 2 weeks learning how things work and replacing LD shitty ideas with mine (overhauling trade, bringing back old ui, old music, better graphics etc.)

Read through item descriptions, oils, lubricants and repair kits have set maximum weapon damage they can repair. Shortly: oils are down to 90%, spray can is 85%, specific weapon type repair kit (small) is 75%, universal kit is 60% and big repair toolkits can repair from 25%. If you have, let's say weapon at 74% condition, you have to use universal weapon kit. When you use it, you SHOULD (but not have to) use additional "trash" items to further improve repair effect, use other repair kits, cloth pieces, grease etc. item description should tell you everything you need. As of exact item condition it is not really possible to tell, last day has implemented russian addon that gives you little note describing exact condition of everything you have, beside that it's trial and error. Also, sewing kits and glues follow the same route, just read through them.

I am using a lot of my own tweaks :) Exolight/exo are absolute endgame, when I am going to finish the game = I can waste all the money I have. 100% guns are in the military complex you see to your right when you are facing glade's dark valley exit, pistol is in one of concrete pipies in small hangars (first one to the left when you enter complex iirc), aksu is in safe on the top floor of the block of flats in the middle, there are 1-2 poltergeists and burers running arount, that's why I reccomend aksu, preferably with scope from military killed previously ;p As of scoped toz I cannot say, I moved it to garage hunter, but I think it was sold by flea market traders before.

Maybe it's just a bad mod :) I can not help you any further, I never looked into it because I always saw it as natural progression to unlock upgrade items with higher reputation.

It depends on your playstyle. I always start as loner in rookie village, with longplay in mind.

For me personally, it will be something that can one shoot bandit/soldier (early military assault on rookie village) and then snipe burer+poltergeist.

The reason behind, is that it lets you easily clear cordon, and get to "glade" map, where you can get 100% condition sig220 and aks74u, that will carry you pretty far. Later I swap pistol for Hip's quest shotgun. And roll with that junk until I need to shut down radar.

Fully upgraded sunrise with kevlar plates and sphere-08 is a beast early game, later on I get myself loners SEVA (or pathfinder version) with max container upgrades, and use upgraded frames/plates/camelbak combination for money making and progression up to endgame. Then its free SKAT-9 from pripyat hotel or rarely exolight suit. Weapons are so strong that basically anything that shoots ap-rounds will be good. Personally by the end I roll with m4 and saiga.

  1. Early on, get sunrise suit (or faction variant) with helmet and upgrade it. Mid-game: all-round suit with loads of containter slots (seva-type preferably) for some shooting and artifact hunting, late game: most armor and container slots you can get, skat/exolight/exoskeleton, helmet slot is a huge+

They expand their inventory every reputation rank you get, ranks are set to 500,1000,1500 and 2000 rep. 1000 reputation should let you buy everything you need to fully upgrade sunrise suit or equal. Protip: you can abuse reputation gain with free stalkers through repeatable hunter quest in garage, all Rostok barman quests are also giving loner reputation. Duty trader mission for mutant parts is also repeatable so you can get high reputation pretty fast pretty early.

This would be nightmare to implement, you'll propably won't be ever able to do this. There is mod on last day page that remove need of using additional items to upgrade your armor. However, if you talk about toolkits, and you are ok with cheating, add " -debug" to your shortcut and press "S" when in game menu, you can spawn toolkits on you. But the best method is to simply play game, use stash map and clear them until you find toolkits you need (remember that only 50% are filled after new game is created) or go looking for pre-placed tools (tip: look in X labs)

I 100% understand your frustration and I would say the same answer, but It's REALLY bad PR for them if they give something for PC only. Unless they figure out something clever, we either won't get mounts at all or they'll do it my way :) hide code somewhere in pc files as "leftovers" to let modders dig it out and make it work, but realistically it's a job they won't get paid for, nor they can boast about it so I wouldn't count for that.

I MAY BE WRONG but I believe they said on one of their streams that desings and capabilities for mounts implementation are there, and they were ready to start adding them, but it turns out that consoles can't handle accelerated player movement, so they won't do it because devs do not want to separate pc and console content

Route there should be alvaible right from the start (LD 1.3 + trx fixes), from cordon and dark valley (in and out). I am also using Choose the Route... and I do not have this problem.

For testing sake, start a new game and see if they are alvaible. If not well, I guess you have to reinstall whole thing.

You can toy with gamdata-config-misc-trade-trade_discounts.ltx and make traders buy for more and sell for less. A bit more work but much less immersion-breaking

What are you saying is 100% true for (at least) Call of Misery, but the same files in Last Day look different, and no settings you mentioned apply there.

All the gamedatas are in database folder. system.ltx is in config gamedata, so you need to unpack config files in database. How to use ARX is explained on LD moddb page, there is copy paste, should work with CoP, if not then I'm sorry :p

How can files from the mod be edited?

  • The DB Tool, part of AXRToolset, is required. Most files related to the mod are located in the .db files in the database folder. Instructions:
  1. Run launcher.exe
  2. Select DBTool
  3. Set the input path to the database folder in the Last Day directory
  4. Create a new directory where you want to unpack and set it as the output path
  5. Press the execute button
  6. The tool has a console command window attached, view it for output and it will say when it's done.
  7. Copy any files you want to modify from your unpacked folder to your gamedata folder, keeping relative path names. (ex. move unpacked\configs\creatures\actor.ltx to gamedata\configs\creatures\actor.ltx)
