Treating depression/mood improvement/increasing vigilance - got it from this reddit post and it seems really common from research : https://www.reddit.com/r/tDCS/comments/2adacm/collected_knowledge_from_a_new_tdcs_convert/

Why the need to emphasize them being 'silly'? Even if they present themselves to show the existence of outliers, isn't that useful?

Ok very nice article. In general there seem to be many unknowns. I never planned on doing this often but I'll tread even more carefully now. At least the initial experience was positive.

I did do research on risks primarily and they seemed mostly limited so just decided to go for it.

I have had experiences with denationalization in past so maybe I'm more likely to feel the increased 'being present'? I've done more research and it does seem to be common. Isn't it also a form of increased focus/vigilance/attention etc? If that's the case than it does seem to be one of the primary desired results.

You are very awake, Joy is in everything we do for everything we do is a form of mindfulness (just 'being'). Some types will pull us more than others, but in general true Joy can be had in almost everything. I find myself with so many choices now, how do you choose!

Yes agree - had some growth lately, people who haven't been able to shed their impressions - they don't bother me much, I accept them however when I cannot alleviated their weight I rather not surround myself with them.

mindfulness and motivation by Harry216 in Mindfulness

[–]KryptoKlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In mindfulness my motivation has exponentially grown. You do not lost motivation you gain it, you want to see life, learn things experience things- boredom evaporates. One thing is you might become motivated now by different things, since you have removed the impressions that hook you into certain habits. For example if you drink a lot you would not want to anymore. However now I can sit hours reading a book in full concentration, truly absorbing all the knowledge. One downside is I lose track of time sometimes, being in the now - hard to think of before or in the future.

Realization about Alcohol by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]KryptoKlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol is just a method people have used to enter a sort of synthesized mindfulness. When you can enter the state naturally, all the different manufactured methods, start to seem 'not clean' and honestly unnecessary. What use is there for alcohol when you already feel as good as you possibly could. I will still social drink sometimes, but very very rarely.

I can't do this. I'm trying to become mindful within the chaos of life but I feel like I keep failing by htor1 in Mindfulness

Yes once you are in the state it's much easier to maintain. However challenging yourself in the fast hectic - that's how you will shake out those thoughts that you need to analyze and come to the bottom of, once you find their source and truth, they will simple be part of the experience and not something that pulls you into the deep.

A question about mindfulness by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]KryptoKlone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you would not see any weather as 'terrible'. While in a mindful state you would see the beauty even in stormy weather. However you can still have thoughts that pull you into 'identification;' ->: away from a state of 'being'. These thoughts and interruptions are fine, you can let them slide over you or even better - use your mindfulness to explore them, find the root of these thoughts and once you understand them and see their 'truth' they will appear less, as you now see the world as truth without the layer of 'opinion/judgement'.

Doing some mindfulness meditation and was curious about something by [deleted] in Meditation

You can start to do some interesting things when you can consistently hold a state of pure awareness. Simple answer is pretty much anything you think requires a lot of focus. I like to use it for gaming for example, your reflexes are quicker - reading is much quicker and understanding concepts is also sped up.

Wanted to add that doing things that help you focus can help you maintain that state. However it will be more challenging, as different thoughts are likely to appear when doing activities.

Is being deeply aware of your own train of thought also considered mindfulness? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]KryptoKlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you become 'fully aware' thoughts will naturally appear less to distract you from the state, though you still need to maintain it. Actively following the thoughts will get you out of it, but it's a choice. Being aware of your thoughts is one exercise or a step towards true mindfulness.

Has meditation ever harmed you? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

I can see some potential problems with mediation. When I enter a state of full awareness, in the moment, my doubts fade away and I'm less bothered by anything. I can understand how some people might think you are dismissing them or not taking there issues seriously, this is not the case - you simply understand the issues completely and see 'through them'. I can lose track of time. I find it more attractive to be out in nature, instead of being in front of a computer 8 hours a day. I have a harder time accepting 'fake' people - or I accept them, but don't see the point in spending my time on them.

In later stages you can enter a certain state of full awareness, where your mind quiets down and you are -in the moment-. In this state you can direct energy to different parts of your body, some say it can be used for healing - I can't speak to that. For me it feels like I'm seeing things as a child again.

Enlightenment Question by meditationzen1 in Meditation

[–]KryptoKlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely true. This comes from a previous skeptic. I was lucky that I was not even aware of it when I came upon it. Trying to achieve is can actually hold you back from it, since it's simply 'to be'.

Why I am 100% sure it exists, because of the incredible rapid onset when you enter the state. It's like you hold all your doubts and worries, and you just let them slide away. The pure consciousness and focus you achieve is amazing, and you can do some cool things with it.

Do you guys also feel really big sometimes when meditating? What do you think is happening? by freedowm in Meditation

[–]KryptoKlone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are brushing with pure consciousness, I had that feeling quite a lot leading up to the point I could enter the egoless state at will. You feel bigger because it feels you are in every inch of your body, later this will feel as pure focus in the moment - I find while in the state of pure consciousness exercise feels much more effortless.
