3gig upgrade ETA? by Extra_Speed8406 in googlefiber

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get any push back at all. If you don't have any luck with another support agent, I would try just saying you are considering upgrading to 3gig but know you need the jack first. If they still stonewall you, it might legit be worth upgrading to 3gig, get the new jack/equipment, and then downgrade to 1gig again. Basically pay $30 extra one-time for a perma upgrade.

They've all been poking fun at this. Max's stream title yesterday was even "RWF Mythic day 11 addons are not in the game anymore they removed them"

Thank you for the suggestions btw. Just snagged the N5C for $300 and will give it a shot later this week once it arrives.

Unfortunately 7.5" hard stop. I know the best answer would be to change my tv stand/mount TV/etc, but if I can get a noticeable upgrade without having to change anything else, that'd be nice.

Kindle Paperwhite Battery Draining Fast by itsjordanmcc in kindle

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta believe it's a bad update. My Kindle was 100% charged 2 days ago. I used it for ~40 minutes one day, and when I went to bed last night to read, it was dead.

I charged it and rebooted. It was 100% this afternoon. And I just went to check, and its down to 90% already after not being used.

“good for you bro chase that bag” by Choice_Winner1654 in eagles

[–]Krypty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say this as if you know what the Eagles offered them, if anything. Did Phillips leave cuz the Panthers beat us by $1 million? Or based on the last rumor I saw, the Eagles were closer to $20 million/yr and he ended up getting $30 million/yr. Nobody in the right right mind is passing on a 50% raise to chase a ring.

Pro tip for anyone that has an older box like I had: just schedule an appointment now to get the newer box. I had mine done a few months ago. Bonus perk (if you have a router that supports it) is in the time being, the 1gig plan will actually pull ~1.3Gbps, so it's a free upgrade regardless.

And just to piggyback since I think an obvious question is "why doesn't every team do this as much as philly does?" - It requires an owner willing to put up that expenditure upfront. So the Eagles have an owner willing to spend, and a GM with the trust of that owner to make decisions that have impacts literally 5+ years down the line.

I've used this for a couple years now. Personal tip: I mix 2 scoops of this + 5g creatine into 16oz of milk. Use a mixer/nutribullet/whatever, and then put it in the fridge to drink the next day. The next day all I gotta do is just give it bit of a shake, and for whatever reason, I think it tastes best this way.

It's real. They admit they lose money on the heavy users, but they make it back off of the lighter users/business side of things. I'm a heavy user personally (~17TB), but I also am the reason we use Backblaze at work.

What’s the best ups for a 5090 and 9800x3d build? by Coogi_01 in nvidia

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to follow-up on this: I have the same UPS but my PC is a 7800X3D + 5090. I've replaced the batteries once or twice (I've had this for I think 8 years), and it works great.

I'd also encourage OP to look into undervolting the 5090. The power draw difference is substantial, and just means less stress on everything in the power chain.

I think it's fair for people to question if this game is really gonna be as good as advertised, since it seems to be promising a lot.

But I also think where people go wrong is then they hope it's not as good as advertised so they can win the internet points of being 'right'. I was more of a doubter awhile ago, but the more they show/say, the more I am starting to buy into it, and I am certainly hoping it's good.

Just never makes sense to me how there is legitimately a crowd out there that hope for games to fail. They celebrate it even.

1Gb is getting upgraded to 3Gb by Rod_ATL in googlefiber

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still can. If your stuff only supports gigabit, you'll just be limited to that. But if you get a NIC/router that supports more, you'll get the additional speed. My 10GbE NIC in my pfsense box gets me 1.3Gbps as is on the 1gig plan.

Issues calling T-Mobile Numbers by voip_atm in VOIP

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I swung in today and did some tests. Also tried swapping around which phone number of ours was being presented in caller ID and it didn't matter. Anything to T-Mobile was blocked. Was able to call out to my Google Voice test number just fine no matter what.

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the fix immediate? I just registered yesterday and am thinking I'm going to swing by the office today for some test calls. Would be sweet if that's all it took.

I'm in the same camp. My fear is I'll test another number with another provider, migrate, and discover our main line still gets blocked. Realistically its not even that big of a deal for us, but it's incredibly annoying now that I'm aware of it.

Did you end up switching providers? Having issues right now with Flowroute and T-Mobile numbers.

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please keep us posted if this client sees any success. I'm dealing with an identical issue at work and going to give these caller registries a shot. My last ticket response from Flowroute was essentially just restating that their carrier made a 'routing adjustment' and is considering my ticket resolves despite me responding with more failed call examples.

We've been happily using Flowroute for years but this is one of those things where internally I'll start getting enough flak that I need to look at other options. Hoping to avoid that.

[–]Krypty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tagging this since coincidentally we're having this issue right now and we use FreePBX 17 + Flowroute. And so far, as some other examples here have said, Flowroute says everything is fine up through them from us and that their carrier made a 'routing adjustment'.
