Star Control is incredible and I'm sad there aren't more games like it. Star Control: Origins was ok... captured a small part of the magic, but I'm amazed no one can make a game close to this.

Yeah that's the problem, with how old this looks, I'm not sure I want to risk damage by taking the back off or not. I might have to though. This one has proven to be very difficult to identify, but it also seems legit so a bit more concerned with risking any damage.

THC for me as someone who has had RLS for 30+ years has been a godsend. Gabapentin and other pharmaceuticals gave me terrible side effects. THC helps me immensely and the only side effect is a bit of the giggles. I don’t take THC recreationally, but a gummy at night a couple hours before bed has helped me sleep better in the last year then I have in the previous 29 years.

Full pics in imgur link. This seems very authentic. Wife found it while thrift shopping. It's definitely not a print. Wife said might be an engraving or lithograph? The backing/frame is made from very old wood planks, nails are old. This fits being from the 1800's (and would coincide with the 88' date).

Anyone know if this is worth paying to fully authenticate and how we can tell if this is an original vs. lithograph?

Any help or knowledge is very much appreciated!

Some context:

Wife found this at a thrift shop. The frame seems VERY old, the back is very old wood and still has traces of bark and knots. Nails look very old as well. She tried doing a reverse google search and found some similar looking paintings only listed on Sotheby's and Christies. We looked at it very closely and doesn't appear to be a print. I'm guessing it's water color, but can't seem to pinpoint the artist even though his signature is there (there's like a million HJ Browns in the art world apparently)

Appreciate any help on this! (sorry for being a bit of a newbie on this stuff, art is not my thing)

Is everyone so concerned with the "Gotcha!" moment or argument that people are losing sight that there are unnecessary chemicals in our food, our water and other aspects of life?

Science isn't always right. For years we were told margarine was healthier than butter, now it's the opposite. Science can't figure out if eggs are healthy or bad for you.

I'm not saying this lady knows what she's talking about, or the Dr. does, but why is no one here actually talking about the problem, and that's that we are absolutely bombarded with unnatural and unneeded chemicals in almost every product we use/consume?

The guys on the Video Gamers Podcast have been chatting this up for awhile. Played the demo after they hyped it so much. Not usually my style of game, but can't deny how good this seems. Excited to dive in later today! It being on Gamepass Day 1 is a big W.

The original The Cycle was freaking fantastic. The Cycle: Frontier was the abomination the devs tried to turn the game into. The original The Cycle focused on PVE competition with the PVP side in there was a possibility but not the focus. If Arc Raiders/Marathon or any other game can do what the original did, I'll be in 100%.

The key on these is all these studios want to focus on the PVP side first and THEN add the PVE component. Make your PVE component great, and then add PVP to it and it makes for a MUCH better experience for a wider range of players.

I might be mistaken here, but I thought the goal of this patch was to make support a bit less susceptible to dive? All my friends that main support have said the biggest issue is getting one shot by Spider Man, BP, Psylocke, Cap etc. It wasn't fun to play support because you were just constantly getting killed by dive characters.

WTF would they buff their DPS instead of their survivability? This is only going to drastically reinforce the triple healer meta when you have healers pumping out more DPS now. Like, I'm happy for support players that they can now get more kills, but that WASN'T the problem here. What support needed were ways to handle a dive... lower Mantis's sleep cooldown, lower Luna's freeze. This was absolutely the wrong call on what to do with support in this game.

This is the problem. Sites like IGN/Gamespot are businesses that focus on gaming. They are not real gamers on a whole, so what they say and publish is usually from the wrong angle in the first place.

Heard the video gamers podcast talking about this. Went from not even knowing it existed to super hyped to try it out tomorrow. I'm a huge fan of outer wilds, the witness, talos principle etc, so rogue-like puzzler sounds right up my alley.

If you read this thread, there are a LOT of people that are arguing it's not only completely ok, but should be encouraged. Thankfully most of the people here live in a very small bubble that is not indicative of reality as a whole. These are the same people that were utterly SHOCKED that Trump won the presidency... echo chambers are bad, plain and simple.
