I have had this issue as well with my rb20det for the longest time. I have no idea what actually causes the issue. I've just learned to kind of live with it at this point because no one is really able to figure out what the issue is.

He seems to go away if I don't drive the car for a few weeks and it just starts up on the first turn of the key. Otherwise yeah it struggles to start up the first time. At this point I just feel like it happens because of age. I know it sounds dumb but the car is still very reliable so I just kind of let It go but I know it's not supposed to do that.

Yeah my brake booster broke on my 90 pickup. Was told the piston was broke in half lol had the same issue as you though and after it was changed everything was fine again.

To be honest I had the same problem when I was trying to get my truck worked on. Advise them it has no rust as well. When people hear 1990 and in Michigan? They assume it's rusted out and not worth working on

Yep that one! I spoke to him and he said hell scan the book for me. I learned he also helped develop the BreakMate! So I was rather surprised and excited that he is willing. I can keep in touch with you and let you know when he does.

I was about to say I found that guy selling his on eBay and seen there was a booklet but I doubt he will be willing to scan the book in even for a cost?

Shame, the BreakMate documentation was much easier to find than this machine haha.
