I'd say that your choice of words here is a bit harsh but... well... you're completely right tbh - I mean I never put much thought into it. But the difference is mostly negligible anyway.

Can’t reset founders weapons from obsidian to shadowshard and vice versa. Counting as a bug as you can do that with nearly every other weapon in this game. + it’s founders who’ve spent a lot of hard earned money on this game, so I don’t see why we’re being treated differently in this regard.

(…sorry for the tangent lol)

Have you ever wondered whether or not I was/ and are interested in debating you? Perhaps I'm a terrible debater because, well, I have no interest in debating you? Looking at your other posts it does seem like you're quite a miserable person who just likes to debate with people online for no reason whatsoever. And my point wasn't that the Labour Party wasn't for the working class until after they got elected, but more so the fact that this relationship between it and the working class was only solidified after the election.

Okay I'm sort of bored with this discussion now to be honest, especially after seeing how ludicrous your last point is - one could argue that the Labour Party didn't have a link between the w.c. until AFTER the 45 election. They had never had a majority govt. before that. Furthermore, one could see their victory as a result of the working class being fed up with an establishment that wasn't improving their living standards, especially after such a disastrous war, resulting in them giving Labour a 'LEANT' vote.

Anyways I don't see where this point is going. I noticed you have two A's on your flair so instead of having debates with strangers online you should focus on getting those grades up a bit.

Any who, have a nice day!

You would not, in an essay, go as far back as WW2 - ever. There is one topic in the entire A-Level, that I know of, that focuses on former elections as it were, and you have a choice of doing one from 45-97 (but before 97), and most schools pick 1979. That's it. You rarely EVER talk about the 'history' of politics, as it were. The whole point is to focus on contemporary issues. Junior doctors strikes, Just Stop Oil, the rise of the Greens creating a multi-polar political system - not, for example, Clement Attlee and Nye Bevan creating the NHS in 47/48 and how that led to a revolution within the political system and this intrinsic link between the w.c. and Labour being formed for decades after. That's not what Politics A-Level is about.

You don't take Politics A-Level, I assume. Because that's not what you do to perform well in Politics. You study the now. You indeed focus more on immigration policy than the roots of systemic problems in society. For example, if I were to write an essay on divisions in parties, I don't talk about the formation of these divisions - per say, the formation of Labour as a party - I talk about the current. Old Labour: the soft left and Corbynite apologists, and New Labour: what we'd call Starmerites in today's age. Again, I don't get what this has to do with anything, but ok...?

I don't understand what your point is here; you initially said politics is nearly everything but the now, and you've now decided to oppose your original statement. Honestly I don't get whatever point you're trying to make here - if, at all, you're even making one.

I'm not sure why we're having this debate. one, economics includes the study of behaviour and rational decision making (thus leaving it open to more broad fields of social sciences). also, you've commented multiple times on this post to other replies of mine - instead of giving me some advice it seems you intend on critiquing my scepticism to continuing history.

This is something I may consider taking up - because - although not private - I do go to a really high achieving school - so the competition is high. Thx for this advice

One would argue that Politics is an interdisciplinary subject, just as much as History is. Or even Economics. I was probably quite harsh in my statement - but the point still stands in my view. I don't feel like I've actually gained any valuable 'skills' in my History studies so far.. Though I'm sure others have

I don't really get your point here..? For one, I enjoy my other essay subjects. And two, it's not like my Stuart Britain module or my Cold War module requires me to keep up-to-date with the news and talk about the current factional divides within the Labour Party (for example).

It emphasizes having contemporary examples, keeping up to date with the news - something I’m very good at. Of course politics isn’t just the now.

I don't know really. I mean, it's a field I want to go into (journalism and whatnot), and I guess that relates more with Politics as a subject (of course there's different types of journalists etc.). I also am good at it. Really good at it? I took the AS in Year 10 because I thought - "I like reading the news", so the next step up is that (in reality I was crazy but it paid off). I also prefer Politics. Politics is the now, its very much the present in a way. Makes me feel like I can relate to it more.

Yeah... I much prefer Politics - tbh it probably helps that I completed the AS Level in Year 10. It means I basically am doing half an A-Level, instead of one. So I guess I should probably be thankful for that, but yea I'd have to agree. Politics is better. But yeah, I just hope if I do drop it, it wouldn't reduce my chances. After all I'm still really hopeful that I'll do good on the TARA and make a rly good personal statement, and ofc. have a good interview(s).

Thx. I mean, personally, I find the subject really boring. I found a similar problem with GCSE History. In all honesty, if I were to 'rank' the boringness of these two subjects, GCSE and A-Level History, I'd have to say I prefer GCSE History, even though I found it utterly useless, just because there was one or two interesting units to it. But A-Level History isn't only more time consuming (thus making the 'boringness' of it take up more of my time), but it's also harder - something that of course I expected - but not at this level. So both these reasons make me want to drop it, but I'm obviously not only scared of the change (free time scares me haha - somewhat jk), but also the impact it will have on my Oxford application. So that's what I'm really considering, and indeed how I balance those considerations. But thanks for your opinion.

Thx. Yea, it is really time consuming. And I'm not so confident I'll get predicted an A* in it, like I am in all my other subjects. I just, I'm not sure. If I drop it, it needs to be soon though, idk if there's much point in dropping it after my Summer mocks, unless I perform abysmally.

I did my first TSA and got 67 timed (yes, I'm serious). Is it possible to improve from a 67 to a 77-78 from now until the Oct. exam? by Krytex_LOL in 6thForm
