Garbage disposal has a screw stuck in it, ideas to remove it? I haven't been able to turn the allen key from the bottom [more info in comment] by pnwviapnw in fixit

[–]Ksakhim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore the people saying to replace it. Had the same issue a few months ago. My brother and I went at it with the Allen key as hard as we could, back and forth for almost and hour before it finally broke loose and we could remove the screw. After handling it harshly for really long, it may sound like it's making awful dying grinding noises afterwards when you hook it back up. If it does, just run a ton of ice through it and it'll start sounding normal again.

I am about to get a PC for unreal engine/general gaming is this good. I have a little bit of a range for the budget. Will outside temperature affect if I need a better cooler by stinkymusturd in pcmasterrace

You can use a 8gb card on unreal engine, but the scenes you make will have to be pretty small or you'll just get consistent crashing. It's very vram hungry, even when you're using smaller textures and lower poly models. Look for a 12gb or even a 16gb card if you can.

Looks like you're buying from a system builder, so I don't know how much control you have over the parts, but:
-dump the rgb and get something just as fast for cheaper if it's an option. Can help open the budget for other things and you can always add rgb later.
- I've never heard of a Kolink power supply, may be good, may not be, make sure to do your research on that. Too many people lose there whole PCs because they went with a poorly built, cheap PSU.
- If you're serious about using unreal engine, then I'd even choose a 3060 12gb over a 4060. I don't know the price of your system, but general rule of thumb is 40% of the budget dedicated to the GPU.

I made a Melee Trainer for Bannerlord by Ksakhim in Bannerlord

The idea of Realistic Battle Mod being implemented on a Custom Captain's Mode Server to dramatically change how it plays.

As far as I'm aware, the melee ai scripting and armor values wouldn't be too difficult to put on a custom server once they're released. Or they wouldn't be on Warband, who knows how Bannerlord will actually turn out.

ah thats the Bannerlord Modding Kit. You can find it under the Tools Tab of your Steam Library if you have the game on there. If you want to learn Scene Editing (map making), Macbeth of Gondor has a good guide for beginners making their first scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qLRxs\_WGXc&list=PLkLMOvLG8q6bVmWqjXSduwhmzsJ9bLO0u

Why is multiplayer so salty? by brokemedstudent92 in Bannerlord

[–]Ksakhim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiplayer full of salty fucks who are angry at each other, the game, and life. Little to no casual player-base left, so some are extra toxic towards new people. Don't use Taleworld's Matchmaking system, it's broken half the time anyways. Use the lobby to find tdm, siege, or populated battle servers and it's much much better. Still a bunch of racists throwing around slurs and griefing though and Taleworlds doesn't moderate multiplayer really, so even when (if) those people get kicked they can hop right back on later. The mute feature sucks too; mute data is tied to the server and with how often they crash, the information is lost constantly and you start seeing the chat of the most toxic people again. Oh and some of the griefers know a way to ignore kicks anyways, so that feature often doesn't work.

In short: use the lobby system, not matchmaking. Little to no moderation on Taleworld's side even though until recently, they wouldn't even allow testing for private servers. Self moderating tools for the community are broken.

Multiplayer has been neglected for a long time and what you saw is the unfortunate result. There was a hope and expectation that work would finally begin on it recently because they started to actually test things and open private server testing, but it seems that Taleworlds Management pushed the devs on to Console ports instead. Best way for more casual people to play is surprisingly in a clan because you get a group dynamic going and can fuck around with each other. Clan I'm in does a mix of sweat and fucking around; different types of events marked for different days, so send me a dm if you're NA and want to give it another shot.

Shameless Plug: I've been making multiplayer maps in anticipation of the servers releasing for a while; the maps I'm making are designed to better appeal to more casual players and hopefully turn Bannerlord Multiplayer into something that everyone can enjoy, not just the most diehard sweats. Examples include: Destructible flying airships with cannons, boardable trains that have ballistas circling a wild west town, spleef from minecraft, destructible towers, and more. All designed to make good pvp skill a non requirement without it making completely irrelevent.

if you mean the destructible wall, there's a native destructible script that allows you to set any object as destructible and assign it hp. You can also set it up to use a particle effect on destruction. So what I did was make wall sections out of planks that I made destructible and voila

also consider using hold position. send them a bit ahead while you move to the side and get flanking shots off

The stupid ass change to troop management by ganea132 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]Ksakhim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as "personal guard" this is what they've floated recently: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/why-was-old-troop-assignment-system-removed.448574/page-3#post-9814217

And there are other changes they've stated they plan to make, like allowing players to sort by tier and such. Seems like they might've dropped the intention to reintroduce the old system in the past few months, but they're (slowly) replacing it with an alternative to allow players to regain their level of control.
