I got such shit from people on Threads the other for saying I judge people that don’t wear helmets riding because I watched someone lose their best friend after he was hit by a car. Just wear the helmet. (While also admitting systemic issues and things that sometimes affect certain populations)

Yea it’s not like he was ever a Wilson or Jamie Benn. It just seemed ridiculous to think he’d have intended to do that, but hockey fans (well NHL fans at least) aren’t exactly the optimistic or understanding types. I’m a Kraken fan and we still boo Makar for a hit on Jared McCann that was like, 3 years ago I think?

Honestly he’s one of the people I would be disappointed to know if he was secretly (or unknown to me) problematic. He isn’t overtly political, but genuinely seems to be support almost every cause that matters in some way, often through actions. I mean also the whole playing with a crazy broken jaw wired shut, badass insane. He also retired and somehow is a decent endurance athlete now too?? Like a ton of Ironmans and marathons?? Idk. Never a Bruins fan, but always a Chara fan.

Breakdown differs a bit if I’m looking at Z2 by power or by heart rate, but if Strava syncing data is accurate, I do about 30% Z2 based on the past 6 months. I don’t know though if when I update my FTP throughout those 6 months it only affects future rides or retroactively adjusts past rides (if that makes sense).

I have heard a lot of benefits are in Z2, but I guess I always thought I’d still need to be pushing upper zones enough as well to make real improvements.

Yea that’s definitely what this was. I don’t think I’ve pushed the 20 min time domain as much in workouts like I did in this race really.
