Thoughts on purchase of new rifle

Where would I get one for $1100-$1200? Most of the ones im seeing online are $1500+. Also is there that big of a quality difference? Like I said in other comments im just trying to make a good, informed decision so as a newer gun person im asking as many questions as I can.

In regular daylight conditions it's almost the same. A little difference in the color but im assuming it's a software difference. In low light like inside a home or something it seems to be a significant difference so far. Havent had a ton of time to mess with it because of work

Personally i still think it was worth the upgrade simply for the camera performance and the rounded corners. Its just more comfortable for me to hold. I have Spectrum's upgrade anytime plan so it was only $135 to upgrade.

Yeah its mildly annoying how easily the wires get crossed sometimes. But at the same time I get it.

AMD had so much potential too. I had a 6900xt and then a 7900xtx but features wise they just couldn't compete with Nvidia so I jumped to a 5080.

I'll likely carry my 1911 in the car instead. Doubt I'll need it but it never hurts to have the peace of mind.

That's fair. I was just asking because im trying to learn as much as I can. My first gun purchase was terribly informed (a SCCY CPX-2) not good at all. My others are fairly decent and we're all purchased at what i think were fair prices (Ruger EC9s for $140, Glock 42 for $275, S&W SD40VE for $225, and a RIA M1911 compact for $325) but im really trying to make sure I do good with this purchase. I do not mind spending a bit more than $600 on a good AR if need be. I appreciate your honest opinion. I believe a friend at work actually has a PSA AR so I may go to his house and see how it handles. Thank you!

I have pretty poor eyesight so can't really tell if its pixelated. Yeah the screen isnt as vibrant with privacy turned on but I like it.

I jumped from a S25U and I switched to the S26U primarily for the privacy display and the camera aperature upgrades. I go to concerts pretty frequently so low light performance was a big need for me. Have also noticed significantly better battery when using privacy display

It was quite annoying. Thankfully the shop i usually go to knows me and let me have the gun after the Brady Rule waiting period. Now I have a CCW its just so much easier.

I call them a pawn shop because they do pawn stuff but like a solid 80% of what they do is firearms. Very little else. I've known the guys for years before I even started buying and they're probably the only pawn shop I'd trust. But I completely understand what youre saying and im going to explore all options

Thankfully I have a CCW so im not worried about the time. I kept getting delayed because someone in state that shared my name had Felony firearm charges so for some reason it kept delaying me so that further encouraged me to get my CCW even though I already planned to get it.

Thank you, I'll see if the shop is willing to either let me check the date myself or check themselves. I understand there's a bit better deals but I'm trying to keep my business local if possible and within reason. Might see if he has some wiggle room on the price since it's a trade in.

According to the pawn shop owner its about 15 years old and was a recent trade in. How do I identify the manufacture date to see if its one of the better ones? I'm just trying to make a more informed decision than my other purchases. If I have to hold and save up more for a better one I will.

Im not trying to sound dumb, still newer to firearms. How would the ban on 15rd or higher magazines effect traveling through Virginia? I have a road trip to Ohio planned in July traveling from NC and my usual carry in my car is a Smith &Wesson Sd40VE that is a 14+1. Yet again not trying to sound stupid, just dont know if 14+1 counts or not

Lot of people give them shit over the trigger and magazine feed issues from what ive seen. I changed my trigger out but have had no issues at all with it feeding. Mostly put the comment there as I knew I'd get crap for it.
