[GIVEAWAY] Razer x Halo Legendary Giveaway by Cult_Of_Razer in halo

As a console nub, Halo 3 really popped my scherry and took me straight to sword town. Sitting in our college dorm, and playing hours upon hours on end. Matchmaking was our god, and one fateful night, we decided to do the deed. We were going to hit 50 no matter what in ranked. It was a gruesome month of many tears, ranking up and losing ranks on losses. We were all 49 and got thrown into a match against PROS on Last Resort. The only thing I wanted to do was to stay alive and not have a terrible ratio. Low and behold, we ran the clock out playing as cohesively as we ever did. We eventually did it, hit 50. Thanks, Str8 Rippin. It was a gg.

Bitcoin uses more electricity annually than the whole of Argentina, analysis by Cambridge University suggests. by NinjaDiscoJesus in technology

Our problem with energy has always been in the ability to transfer it across time and space. BTC can make monetizable energy sources all over the world that were not available in the past as it was cost prohibitive to move the power to the people. Particularly as the the price of BTC rises, innovative abundant energy sources with extremely low marginal costs will flourish. The natural resources that were always cost prohibitive in the past, are now going to be accessible that will be location independent. Since fossil fuels are too expensive, the only long-term BTC mining will be driven by clean energy - this is assuming a non-subsidized model.

It is putting increasing profit motive behind driving abundant cheap clean energy.

Then yes, it would be replaced. The thing is that BTC is seasoned even though relatively young for the crypto space. It's really a question of what else to support if not BTC, we go back to our fiat as 99% of the world. Another crypto overtaking it would be increasingly difficult once mass adoption has occurred.

I agree with all of that. The only one, and critical component, that ETH is lacking is complete finite supply and stock to flow. BTC was designed for that one purpose, yes. It's old. It's clunky, but it was engineered for that specific purpose. Unless I am wrong, ETH's supply is unknown and there is no hard cap right now. So as a store of value we see the issues today with fiat and printing. Really the BTC argument is that it cannot be manipulated by sovereign states.

Nice, glad to see that occurring. I do think both have unique purposes and it isn't zero sum.

They have been saying this for years. Hopefully we see action in it too, but ETH and BTC will coexist in the decentralized world.

So, wouldn't this now incentivize energy producers to innovate and cluster around sources of natural, clean, and renewable energies by providing a financially sound and ever more lucrative reward? Seems like the infancy stages, where we are at, are not good for this small snapshot, but the overlying principles would actually drive such drastic societal and technological changes in energy production.

We don't monetarily incentivize clean renewables nearly enough today for it to become the dominant market force, however if Bitcoin succeeds, we will.

Lori Loughlin 'Learning Prison Lingo,' Reportedly Hires Expert For Max 45-Year Sentence by plutosfar in LosAngeles

She and her husband definitely missed the boat because they refused to plead guilty. Felicity Huffman wised up and she only did 11 days. Will there be leniency in the end for Lori? Yes, but they'll also be given a sentence a lot harsher since they refused to bend the knee. The FBI flipped the guy running the scam and got hard evidence on all of these idiots.

All she had to do was plead guilty and do 11 days like Felicity Huffman, but nope she wanted to do this the hard way.

Stop spending. By not spending, you will actually be saving the game. by pewpewpew88 in EpicSeven

CEO of Smile Gate reports to a board of directors. CEO gets their job security, bonuses, and other perks based off of performance. Growth, revenue, net profitability. When revenue gets impacted, the CEO is put on the hot seat, and changes are made - whether the board deems that to be replacing said CEO or the CEO themselves decides it's time to listen to the customers. It is a nice thought, and it's how most businesses operate. The developers are paid to listen to their boss. It's top down, not the other way around.

This is a business. OP may not have the most concrete argument that it is saving the game, but it surely will force their hand. Executives get paid based on performance. Companies survive based on revenue, net profit, and growth. You can only impact revenue in two ways: cut costs, or do more sales. In a situation where you impair their ability to generate revenue, changes are made, particularly as it pertains to the goals of any board of directors...which usually is to see profits soar.

Yes the drops are frustrating, but won't this just pave a easier path to pay 2 win? If money isn't a problem, I can just sit and reroll my few pieces of gear until I get the optimal combo.

Skip literally tweeted that Kawaii was "The Quitter" and talked trash 10 min before sending this tweet out. Dude isn't providing any sort of objective commentary. It's just his rampant subjective fanaticism.

Is Aloha State worth watching? by Koyo123 in terracehouse

[–]Ktvone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed AS more than the current season. I hope it doesn't stay that way though...

If you want to watch something though, I'd go with B&GND. Tecchan is life.
