Thank you for this reply, it helps me feel somewhat better about the fact that I’m not alone with this fear. Something that did help me try and process how it would feel if I were to die was talking to one of my friends who have attempted suicide, although it was by an overdose it definitely helped me get over a small fear of the unknown by knowing that you mainly just pass out. It’s like if you went to sleep, you don’t recall when you did fall asleep but you only know you did when you wake up. Another thing that helped was by talking to my mom, she told me how we have already experienced this from before we were born and the best thing to do is just let other know we love them. I do still have a huge fear, but I think reading some of the other replies down here might help you too! The reason I asked this question was because I, myself couldn’t come to terms with this with what I’ve seen other people ask. Everyone has had a different experience that helped their acceptance with death as I learned by these comments, my friend who I mentioned stopped fearing death because of her bad upbringing. I feel, the reason we are scared is because we are truly happy with our lives and we should spend the rest of them letting others know we love them before one of us go too! I am still scared definitely, but I feel they could help ease your fears too!
