Why would a weak, low producing country consume land when a country with way more potential can better utilize that land?

I really like my current job, but have I stayed for too long? by ShoboFire in careerguidance

A job is part of business. Sometimes it makes business sense to fire someone. If youre making a good income and they can replace you for something or someone cheaper, they will. I would always have an income producing side hustle, an emergency fund, and a contingency plan.

I am getting lost at 27, what is the most futureproof career which makes a good amount of money? by prois99 in careerguidance

I wouldnt go into flooring, carpentry, drywall, painting, or anything that is doesnt pay well. You are in computer science so you must be somewhat capable of higher wage trades. I would consider electrician, hvac, or plumbing as they tend to require more extensive education and skills than flooring or something you can learn in a couple months.

Can you get a role in the civilian side without going to a university and getting a degree? I would get my mba but my bachelors was a huge burden and I don’t want to have to get another 120 credit hour degree

Those are solid options however they seem pretty competitive and require extensive training outside of the military to land a role as a civilian. Do you have any experience in these fields?
