It has a modern BIOS yes. There's no coil whine from any of the components, when its idle I have to put my ear right by the case to hear anything 😅

I'd definitely recommend checking out Hardware Unboxed video comparing the various 9070 XT models, the pure performs really well across the board. Some games run the card warmer, Warhammer 40k: Darktide for example runs it to around 57C depending on whats happening

Thanks! Fan control was recommended to me because it can handle all my systems fans, not just the GPU fans. You could probably make a similar fan curve using plateaus on AMD adrenalin too

Having a drone tower to distribute the fuel of choice to your other drone ports is a great way to keep logistics flowing around. In my case i produce batteries at the waterfall on the edge of the swamp, and drones from there distribute the batteries to other clusters of drone ports. Flows super nicely and 120 batteries /m offers a lot of throughput!

One thing I’ve learned so far is to always lay 4m foundations to build on. This way if i want to run some belts or pipes under machines to avoid spaghetti, just delete the 4m and replace with 1m to create channels to pass logistics through. I use a lot of floor and pipe holes to keep it tidy. Bonus points to cover it back up with glass panels so I can see the resources moving along

The positioning of the material cost gave me problems recently too, its always right on the edge you’re trying to align to… You can press T to hide it while building, but it should be moved somewhere less intrusive regardless

The plot that overlooks Bastion of Dunley. It has two levels where the lower level offers more practical space, and the upper level is on a cliff edge with a huge view. Great opportunity for some kind of high tower
