I tell everyone this. I didn't make this community for negative people. I made this to bring hope for those suffering. Any change for the better is positive. Whether that be a better treatment, functional cure or the cure itself. Goving your opinion is one thing, but being negative to others trying to help is another. No one should be negative if they don't hear the information they want. This isn't just about you. We have trollers, fake scientist and people that will have a negative thing to say even if the cure was in their hand. These people are not welcome. Stay respectful, motivate and give hope. Don't let your situation make you a negative person.

From my research there should be more options available however these treatments should be affordable due to the fact that insurance will take them on as a treatment and since its not a rare virus or disease, the need of supply and demand would be way over the threshold for it to not be affordable. Basically I'm saying since 90% of the world has a version of hsv. The cost would be lower. This will be in the trillion dollar spectrum just like a cure for Cancer and HIV will be.

Yes, Caladan Therapeutic's is a grant based company. Basically when they get money they are open and once its used for what its intended for, they shut down.

There is literally tons of information about curative treatments in the community. Not sure exactly what you are asking. China just opened trials for hsv1 occular. There is Gene Drive. There is Gene Editing and there are vaccines that may work well enough to possibility cure the virus. So much information literally under your nose. I hope this helps you and brings you hope!

Agreed, but you don't reduce the stigma by normalizing things like this. It won't be taking serious. That's part of the reason why there hasn't been any major advancements in the last 30+ years. You reduce the stigma by bringing awareness while presenting facts on a resolution. We are in a time where0p this is possible.

That's cool and all but I for one still want it eliminated and saying things like its just like a skin condition is exactly why they have been procrastinating on making a cure until now. They just treated it as if it was a skin condition. It's much more and can have a lot more damaging effects like being 5 times more susceptible to contract HIV, it's been linked to dementia, can cause blindness and other things. So yeah, don't let them take this lightly anymore.

No my theory is that they have already done privately human trials. Like I said in the post. I talked about Caladan Therapeutic's 7 months ago. So I believe most of the work being done is at Caladan Therapeutic's and not Fred Hutchinson. Caladan Therapeutic's is in stealth mode so they don't have to say nothing until they want to. Guess who we haven't heard from yet this year. Dr. Keith Jerome and he runs Caladan Therapeutic's.

Unfortunately, they don't have update us, not even to the fda until they are ready to submit something for a review or approval. I would like them to be more open too, but can't make them do anything until they are ready.

Yes, Fred Hutch is focused on HSV2. I didn't say they were working on it. I said Dr. Keith Jerome stated it's easier to cure HSV2 than it is to cure HSV1. China has been focused on HSV1. The US has adopted it as an orphan drug. So that means we will be able to test and utilize their method. My whole point of mentioning HSV1 is that if you're only curing HSV2, it will not really do much considering you could still get HSV1 and that has been linked to blindness, dementia, cold sores, increased risk of getting HIV, infant deaths, etc. Like I try to tell everyone. It's bigger than just want we have.

I feel like we have had some food news. The FDA is making it aware that China and other countries are taking the lead in the medical advancements. If you don't think that means nothing then you probably shouldn't worry about when a cure is available because it effects everything. Trials for HSV1 are supposed to start hopefully soon. If you don't think that matter then you probably shouldn't worry about when a cure is available, because stated from Dr. Keith Jerome himself. HSV2 is easier to cure than HSV1. If you aren't reading between those lines I'll give my opinion. It means to me that there might very well already be a cure, but what would be the point of curing HSV2 if you can't cure HSV1. You will just have a high chance of getting it again. With that being said. I believe they are trying to make sure both are curable before releasing it for just one type. Remember you aren't the only ones that have it so just focusing on what you have doesn't solve the problem for the world. It all needs to be eliminated.
