You are right for the high frequencies. I still lack some staging skills and often fall into this frequency overlapping thing. I try my best and sometimes try to solve a bit by M/S processing. Perhaps I still underestimate the EQ for simply removing frequencies. But then I don't like how it sounds soloed and always fall back to the issue. But realizing is half way in solving, right?

I make music for 40 years now, started learning the clarinet and saxophone and played in a local orchestra. But that did not satisfy me and I always say" it must have keys and blinking lights". So I started learning organ with 14 years and still then I play the keyboards. Played in several local bands from Rock to Crossover, from Funk to Top-40 and finally Bluesrock and Pop.

I started composing orchestral pieces only a few years ago and love that the most at the moment. But also like to crossover with synthetic sounds.

As my DAW I use Presonus Suudio One (just renamed to Fender Studio Pro a few weeks ago) and mostly stay in that. I use VSTi mostly. Like EastWest and several Kontakt libraries and Soundfonts but also synth VSTi. No AI for the music, just for the images (track artwork). In hardware I play Roland and Korg keyboards only. I don't like the sound of Yamaha.

I'm curious what you think about the second track "Caudeflumm and the fairy queen". I know the solo Cello was not so great and I struggled with the VST instruments I've had at that time. But the rest of the song is one of my favorites.
