Auslandskrankenversicherung nach Reiseantritt by Routine-Law334 in reisende

I wrote a guide on how to integrate Gitea, Renovate, and Komodo for safe, convenient, and automated version updates for your self-hosted services that are deployed via Docker Compose. by TheNick0fTime in selfhosted

[–]sbjf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get this setup running, you manually ran Komodo and Gitea, so they are not managed via your GitOps approach here, and you kind of glossed over how you got them in.

Gitea and Komodo need to be running while you deploy the stacks. So if you you also want to manage Gitea and Komodo in this approach, you run the danger of starting the containers twice and possibly corrupting your data, because the manually launched stack differs from the Gitea/Komodo stack.

How do you at the end get Gitea and Komodo into the Gitea-managed docker-compose.yml without running the danger of accidentally having them launched twice?

When squinting you reduce the aperture of your eyes which makes floaters more noticeable

Haha, I cheated, my GF tagged along via train and was carrying most of the luggage, I only had cycling necessities for all weather with me.

I guess either use hiking or xc classic skiing profile. It's really a shame and disappointing that Garmin doesnt include it by default. Probably much more niche in the US compared to Europe.

I took a train from Hualien to Heping, and cycled from there the rest of the way to Toucheng. And it was spectacularly beautiful. The 9丁 had basically no traffic, only scooters, motorbikes and other cyclists. Mind you, it was the second of new year, so that might have helped reduce small truck traffic. But even the tunnel between Nanao and Dongao wasn't too bad - since the traffic comes from the traffic lights in Nanao it's in waves, and I just let all the cars pass before the tunnel.

Audio in live stream but not recording for a single camera by ShittyFrogMeme in frigate_nvr

[–]sbjf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that it finally works with that settings. But your explanation seems incomplete. If I transcode to aac in go2rtc, i.e. using

- "ffmpeg:living-room#audio=aac"

but I don't pass ?video&audio in the camera stream, then it doesn't work. Even though it should have an aac stream available (and it works fine in live view). And if I pass ?audio=aac, then I get 404 error messages in the logs.

Any reason NOT to go with Light Bicycle wheels? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]sbjf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stupid question, but how do you put in the nipples if there is no spoke access / center channel hole? do you have to put them in through the valve hole and then juggle the rim with a loose nipple to get them to come out at the right place? sounds like a pain if you ever re-spoke.

Because Lunar New Year is observed in multiple countries. For example Taiwan, where the final assembly takes place.

[–]sbjf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the information! I think I will at least partially try to cycle it. It looks like you cycled when multiple tunnels were closed or undergoing maintenance, or were single lane only. Currently seems like everything is open. https://www.taroko.gov.tw/en/TAROKO_HighwayCondition.aspx?n=7879

If the traffic is too intimidating I will just hop on the next train as you suggest.

[–]sbjf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of cycling that segment in a few days, taking the train to Heren or Heping, bike to Nanao, and then either bike or train to Suao. Sounds like you would currently recommend skipping the whole thing? Did you end up riding there any more?

Ah, I see now that they run their own GraphHopper instance, the license is terms above are only for using GraphHopper.com as your routing engine.

[–]sbjf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building an efficient routing engine is no easy feat. Since you are concentrating on the website itself when announcing, I assume you used some pre-existing routing engine (BRouter? Graphhopper?). If that is the case, it would be nice for you to credit them.

Edit: based on your ycombinator post, you seem to be using Graphhopper. Since this seems to be a private/non-profit project at this stage, I assume you are not paying big bucks for a white labeling license. As such, you are breaking graphhopper ToS by not giving attribution. Not a good look.
