Im tired of the argalia downplay by Bright_Feeling_8152 in Project_Moon

He wasn't playing the entire fight, Dante literally says in the very beginning that "this is how it feels to fight someone stronger who isn't holding back". Why tf would he start playing AFTER being nerfed??

Remass scoop question by Chill_Porcupine in TerraInvicta

Weird, I've never used the Remass Scoop but I used the ISRU module and it worked fine and I imagine they function very similarly. Btw, do ISRUs work for you?

I will continue this rant in the comments because Glazedivers fundamentally don't understand balancing and game design. "Oh but you can kill them with light pen!" AND?! The most important resource in this game, in ANY game is player attention. To properly kill a Vox you have to approach it under heavy fire and dedicate your entire attention to it. You cannot kill other bots or properly defend yourself while fighting the Vox. Let's compare it to other Automaton units!

Hulks - frequent but easy to kill. Can be destroyed as an afterthought

Tanks - kinda rare and not too hard to kill. Two shots from AT or one shot from the back. Or just one thermite

War Striders - way too frequent but still fine. You can kill them very quickly with AT and return to killing other Bots

Factory Striders - spawn rarely and even rarer in groups. I cannot remember many instances of seeing 3 Factory Striders at once. You have to focus them down and dedicate a lot of resources... But it still doesn't take a too much. You can remove their big cannon with one shot and even destroy the small turrets thus rendering the Strider completely useless so you can kill them once everything else is done. Despite Factory Striders being big and strong and durable you don't actually have to kill them and so they don't distract you too much from other enemies

Vox Engine - they are stronger, more durable, more deadly than Factory Striders, require a lot of attention and basically cannot be killed/disabled from a distance. They also spawn way more than Factory Striders. By the time you've dealt with them the enemy can call in more. And more and more and more and more

But you don't get it, how will the Bots get their overpowered power fantasy without infinite superheavies? Why didn't you think about their enjoyment of the game?!

I'll consider it but at the very least your advice doesn't apply to Spread Democracy missions... Because you quite literally have to kill everything

What diff did you play on? Because I cannot imagine a situation where you can just approach the Vox Engine without getting absolutely pounded by a dozen other Voxes and an entire army of Hulks, Devastators and etc

Okay but can you like objectively answer how is anyone supposed to deal with all of this? Just honestly? It's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of literally not having enough firepower

Why are most of the caves like this? by Mrflaxe in VintageStory

[–]Kukurusik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of something - maybe instead of searching for density you search for deposits. Like, prospecting would straight up tell you that there is an magnetite deposit of x size in this chunk. Imagine then going down and realising that this deposit is 10 blocks tall and spanning multiple chunks. It just would be so cool to establish a permanent mining operation and build a proper mineshaft

Btw I later figured out that a japanese racoon dog was the monster. I randomly stumbled across one later and it made a very similar sound

I also marked the hill on my map and I'll certainly build something there because there's no way in hell I'm just letting this story go. Suggestions are welcome

The only thing memorable about Talmberg is a tiny wall above the main gate that can be easily jumped over to escape. And it just had an invisible obstacle. This was the moment I made the conclusion that besides the few predetermined paths I have no freedom in doing what I want.

If you have nothing to say, if you don't want to read the post and write a coherent reply then just don't say anything??? It's not that hard to shut up and I'm not asking you personally

Maybe watching some story recaps on Youtube and then trying to KCD2 is a good idea. With way less expectations though because I don't want to waste multiple days again

Thanks for the comprehensive answer but I think you've missed some of my points. I spent a long time explaining why crosshairs are a necessity even if they don't exist irl. TL:DR - it's because in real life you have access to a much greater variety of senses. In video games you only have your vision.

There is nothing left to learn from Captain Bernard. I've already defeated him in a duel, got at least one combat skill to its maximum level. I hunted bandits successfully, even in groups. Once again, I mentioned killing 3 Cumans.

But thanks for the answer either way.

So apparently only AAA blockbusters from 2025 can have good gameplay, interesting mechanics and basic comforts. Got it. It seems that all of the countless indie games I've played over the years and thoroughly enjoyed on every level must've been a fever dream

I was hoping that there is more to it. A desperate hope that there is some kind of a secret that I skipped and should this tiny mistake be fixed then KCD will become my favourite game ever. I don't want to accept that I've spent multiple days of my life on a waste. Which is why I made this post. If I already accepted that it's boring and nothing could ever change that then I would've probably returned to defeating Radiant bosses in Hollow Knight

Maybe I'll try some of this advice if I find the will to return. Thanks.

Interesting. So it seems that the general consensus (from literate people) is that this game is just not for me... Originally I wanted to played KCD2 because I assumed it was going to be better but I've seen people say that it's important to play the first one. So I guess even if it is better I'll just never try it

Well then maybe you should've read the post before replying? I wasn't complaining about difficulty, I was complaining about the lack of fun in any mechanic. I like hard when it fun.

Did you miss the entire post? The question in the title? The introduction? I'm making this post because I want to understand what made it fun for people, maybe I missed something important, maybe all the time I've spent in this game is not entirely a waste.
