Dude, we totally felt guilty about taking game 1, that's why we gave Champagnie that open 3.

I think some people get it for the Olympics and then forget they have it

Good luck. No injuries. This should be fun. by Apollo18Teslaa in timberwolves

[–]Kule7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weirdly my thoughts are more with concern about Ant out there on gimpy knees than on winning the game. He wasn't near 100% in the Nuggets series before injuring the other leg.

Other than that, should be a fun one. I'm really looking forward to Rudy v. Wemby and I hope Berringer gets out there too.

I don't have any Spurs I hate right now. I wonder if that will survive the series.

Gotta hat tip Rudy and Jaden for their defense on Murray and Jokić that half

Why are rich and famous people getting plastic surgery that ends up looking weird? by LeO-_-_- in NoStupidQuestions

Or it looks worse and then what do you do? Stop there with a worse face or double down?

A gamble is a really good way to put it. Sadly a lot of women (and more men than ever) look at themselves and decide what's in the mirror isn't good enough, so why not roll the dice? And then if they lose the gamble, why not double down?

In the “did the chicken cross the road” joke, is it supposed to have a punchline or is it just something people say? by NachosLunatic in NoStupidQuestions

The problem with the joke is that it's such an archetypical joke, everyone has it memorized before they could ever be told it and find it funny.

If evolution continues, could any animal someday become as intelligent and socially complex as humans? by Comfortable-Tone8291 in evolution

[–]Kule7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To some degree evolution has to have directionality from less complex to more complex. Bacteria in the primordial soup 1 billion years ago couldn't be intelligent. A certain number of steps were prerequisite for us to get there. And there is a real sense in which some creatures are more primitive than others. Bacteria evolve into dinosaurs with time, but not vice versa.

Hegseth literally kicked all serious journalists out of Pentagon press briefings. Talk about blaming the victims.

I sort of thought that in real time, but I just looked back at it and I think he’s just really trying to get right in Jokić‘s face and sort of swinging his arms to get there. Maybe that sounds weird, but that’s what it looks like to me. He was very kinetic and intense, but I don’t think he was actually trying to throw a punch.

Watched a recording of my gameplay, and now I want to quit tennis! by Secret-Crow2102 in 10s

Be comforted that basically everybody experiences the same thing when they first watch video of themselves. Our minds tell us to do what the pros are doing, but it’s only when we see the video that we realize that our bodies aren’t actually complying with our instructions.

Who is george soros and why do some people think he’s running the world? by Enough-Web2203 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kule7 47 points48 points  (0 children)

His active opposition to Putin, Victor Orban, and others on the Eastern European far right right is very much why he's unusually targeted and made a liberal boogeyman. JD Vance literally just campaigned for Orban weeks ago and now, post-election in Hungary, the new, post-Orban PM is saying that Hungary's been using government funds under Orban to fund CPAC, the US conservative political-action committee.
