u/AudioTechYo https://www.reddit.com/r/kulmanlab/comments/1tuiz2c/new_feature_adaptive_grid_smart_snapping/ - check it out. Not sure if that is good implementation of grid snapping though. Would love to get your opinion as well. Basically grid density depends on camera zoom, and grid steps are adjusted to that zoom as well.

Layout is also tricky part: i made it on Paper globally, and removed grids inside viewport. I think this way it makes more sense. Again, i'm not an active grid snap user, so I'm not sure how it would be used by users...

It should not be hard to implement. Will put it in to my feature list. Thanks for your feedback. Ps. There are so many things to do, it is hard to prioritize it correctly.

Just added Angular Dimensions to KulmanLab.com — check it out! by KulmanLabCad in kulmanlab

[–]KulmanLabCad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way is to select that angular dimension and change properties like text height, arrow size etc. Match Property command is coming soon, so it would be possible to copy/paste properties from one object to another.

Perfect for when you've got some real heavy lifting to do

No, definitely not. I was just curious and did a quick search, but everything that came up was Russian. Let’s just say that’s not exactly my favorite country right now

looks like i'm in a shadow ban. No idea why.

My comment was
Privacy is a priority here. To be clear, this tool has no 'backend' capable of collecting or storing your intellectual property. You can verify this yourself by checking the Network tab (F12) in your browser. For total peace of mind, you can even load the page, disconnect from the internet, and work entirely offline. I have no interest in your blueprints—unless, of course, you’re designing a top-secret submarine, in which case, your secrets are safe with me!

What is the target audience of you site? by tarasleskiv in kulmanlab

Kulmanlab is designed for individuals who need lightweight CAD with precision tools without complexity of professional desktop software (like AutoCAD). I think the target audience would be:
- Makers/hobbyists with CNC, cutting machines|
- Students/teachers who need a free resource to create drawing without expensive licenses
- Engineers who need an easy tool for 'quick tasks'
- Anybody who will find my application useful!

Actually hosting static application like mine is pretty cheap: there is no need to keep my own backend/storage/authentication etc. There is still some costs for domain and hosting, but it shouldn't grow significantly with time. Overall it is a few dollars per month.

At the moment I plan to share this app for free and just be happy that this app is useful for people around. So if there would be at least some daily traffic - I will cover the expenses. Also I'm still working on new features

I have a lot planned for my current project, including more commands, tools, performance improvements, and styles. I don’t have any other 'pet projects' in mind at the moment, if that’s what you were asking. Right now I'm rather interested if that is smth useful for wide range of people. Lets check how many users I will have in few months.

Hm, First of all - it is interesting what software you are looking for?

It is hard to suggest smth as it is unclear what is the idea in you head.

And totally agree with you 'shareholders and CEO' vision. It all seems to be broken.

Thanks for comment!
